[Bug 1903460] Re: Audio keeps coming from HDMI even after switching output to internal or Bluetooth

2020-11-09 Thread FelipeAF
I removed ~/.config/pulse just now, and seems fixed, but i have to test
a few more to be sure. But it was happening mostly when plug hdmi, so
device output was changed to hdmi, and i couldn't just change back to
internal. Then i try to select hdmi 5.1 or 7.1 profile, and as in video
attached, this do hdmi stop work.

After removing ~/.config/pulse i don't see hdmi profiles anymore (what is ok,
since i don't have real 5.1 devices), and change audio output is working now.
If something wrong happens again i will comment here.

Thank you for your attention!!

[Bug 1903460] Re: Audio keeps coming from HDMI even after switching output to internal or Bluetooth

2020-11-09 Thread FelipeAF
Hi!
I fixed before your post with the command "dconf reset -f /org/gnome/".
I guess the gnome extension "Sound Input & Output Device Chooser" may have done
something wrong, but i'm not sure, and just disable or uninstall didn't solve
the problem, what solved was the command "dconf reset -f /org/gnome/".

[Bug 1903460] [NEW] audio output selection not working properly anymore

2020-11-08 Thread FelipeAF
Public bug reported:

I have been using Ubuntu 20.04 since it was released. Suddenly, a few
days ago, the sound device output selection (gnome-control-center >
Sound > Output device) stopped work properly. It is starting as HDMI by
default (it used to be "internal" before the bug, but this is not the
question). The problem is that when i change from HDMI to another
("internal" or bluetooth) output it doesn't work anymore, the sound keep
being outputted by HDMI instead. It only works when i change HDMI
profile to 5.1, then all HDMI profiles just disappear and internal or
bluetooth audio works fine.

I don't know if it's really a bug in gnome-control-center, or i just
blaming the GUI, but I will do what is necessary to find this out.

I hope i can help improve Ubuntu reporting this. Thanks for all
developers!

[Bug 1876837] [NEW] Impossible to unlock if was blocked before unlock default keyring

2020-05-04 Thread FelipeAF
Public bug reported:

Steps:
1 - Enable automatic login and the option to turn off screen after X minutes,
in gnome settings.
2 - Reboot
3 - DON'T type password when its asked for unlock default-keyring, just wait
the time to auto lock screen (x minutes).
4 - move mouse or type keyboard. It will show login/lock screen.

Then:
Expected: After 4, if you type the correct password, the screen is supposed to
be unlocked.
What really happens: After the successfully login, the gnome-panel is showed,
but the lock screen doesn't hide.

[Bug 1875209] [NEW] Gnome software search is often stop working

2020-04-26 Thread FelipeAF
Public bug reported:

Besides after each login the gnome-software works fine, after some condition
(seems me that it happens after suspend, and keep suspended for some hours) the
search does not works anymore, it keeps in an infinite loading. Also, the
images in initial page doesn't load.
When that happes, to go back to normal i have to kill the process (with
"killall gnome-software" command), or logout and login again.

Re: [Bug 439448] Re: Visual corruption affecting several panel applets

2011-01-02 Thread FelipeAF
No for both. I installed ubuntu 10:10 directly in my laptop (i dont
upgrade from earlier version), it also has windows xp (ubuntu + windows
only), but I do not boot into windows long ago, yet the problem happens
occasionally if compiz is enabled. With desktop effects disabled, the
problem does not occur.

I am suspecting that this bug is only occurring to people who have
 either:

 (1) Upgraded from an earlier version of Ubuntu, using the update managerOR
 (2) Installed onto a machine that already has a /home partition with
 configuration files/folders from a previous version's installation.

I haven't had the problem recur yet, since I installed 10.10 with a
newly created home directory. However, it has only been a week since
I've done this; the problem my recur yet.
