[Bug 353966] [NEW] In Kubuntu, URLs are opened inconditionnally in Konqueror

2009-04-02 Thread Francis J. Lacoste
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: launchpad-integration

I'm using KDE4 and have 0.1.23 of launchpad-integration installed.

When I use the 'Get Help Online' menu item in any app or use ubuntu-bug
-p from the command line, Launchpad is opened in Konqueror even though
I've configured KDE and alternatives to use firefox.

Either the default KDE way or x-www-browser should be use to open URLs.

[Bug 175904] Re: Firefox-3.0 window moves to current workspace

2008-04-28 Thread Francis J. Lacoste
I've found a nice workaround for kwin. Use the 'Advanced -> Special
Application Settings' menu item when middle clicking on the firefox
titlebar. In that window, I 'Force' the 'Desktop' to my 'Web' desktop.

Firefox has been sitting at its proper place ever since.

I also have this problem in KDE 3.5.9, and changing the property doesn't
seem to work around the annoying problem.

[Bug 103024] Re-enable 'Get help online' for Feisty

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: launchpad-integration

Now that bug #94224 was fixed in Launchpad, could the 'Get Help Online'
menu item be re-enabled.

It is one of the biggest entry point to Launchpad Answers for Ubuntu.

Thanks

[Bug 55828] Re: PJL output from 1.2.2 client over IPP

I don't undestand how this doesn't fit the second criteria "Bugs which
represent severe regressions from the previous release of Ubuntu".

The previous package in Dapper worked and a subsequent upgrade broke
printing. (I am reporter of bug 57706 which was marked a duplicate of
this one)

[Bug 59529] Problems with paths containing non-ASCII character in non-UTF8 locale

2006-09-08 Thread Francis J. Lacoste
Public bug reported:

My system is using the fr_CA locale with the ISO-8859-1 character set.
In gnumeric, when I try to save a file in a directory that contains non-
ASCII characters, I get an 'Error' dialog with the following message:
"Not a valid UTF-8 filename."

It still creates a file in the directory but it is empty.

If I use the 'Create directory' function in the file browser dialog, the
directory is created with UTF-8 encoding (it should be created in the
same charset than my locale.)

Example directory:

$ export LC_CTYPE="fr_CA.iso-8859-1"
$ mkdir ~/RĂ©pertoire
