[Bug 656088] [NEW] Default encoding on a en.US system is Western (ISO-8859-1)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: epiphany-browser While the whole OS is in UTF-8 the web default encoding is set to Western ISO-8859-1. What else should I do now. The crashes are systematic and the display is also all weird with patches of the screen being moved on the right. ** Attachment added: .xsession-errors if it can help http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33647277/.xsession-errors -- Epiphany-browser weird image/page display and crashes on click https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to epiphany-browser in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

As you can see on deviantart, there is both the same display issue (highlighted in red) and then the crashes. ** Attachment added: the screen display weirdness http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33647738/Screenshot.png -- Epiphany-browser weird image/page display and crashes on click https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to epiphany-browser in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 450896] [NEW] Epiphany-browser weird image/page display and crashes on click
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: epiphany-browser Using epiphany-browser (webkit) 2.28.0-4ubuntu1 on Ubuntu Karmic beta quite regularly I have had regular crashes on everything. It seems pages with photos tend to crash a lot more and the display gets corrupted as well. Then clicking on those images (URL link) systematically crashes the browser. I can reproduce it on photo.net by trying to click on the photo of the week. I get this in terminal: console message: @1: Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://photo.net/ from frame with URL http://tag.admeld.com/ad/iframe/115/photo/728x90/ros?01AD=2-2-5CD13074DB81BC214B187F5FF6CE4F5C1D879B4865340C2BD3167904851C7841-E95C45FA2C3627AB9833835BB7B4DF1B0F79C830B865EFF2A2B790B407B51A2501RI=76BA3249BF3230E01NA=t=1255483797005url=http%3A//photo.net/. Domains, protocols and ports must match. The program 'epiphany-browser' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)'. (Details: serial 2597 error_code 9 request_code 55 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) Let me know if I need to try anything else. [Bug 67870] Re: [edgy-regression] drivemount applet (Disk Mounter) completely blank
I have the same issue, where in Dapper it was even in the menus. After updating, or from a fresh install (I tried both) that menu item has been remove and when trying to install the gnome applet in the panel, nothing appears at all. Also available to do some testing (my laptop is a Thinkpad T60 with CD drive but I noticed the same on a Toshiba r100). -- [edgy-regression] drivemount applet (Disk Mounter) completely blank https://launchpad.net/bugs/67870 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
