[Bug 1278437] Re: can't move link type .desktop files around on desktop
A partial workaround: use right-click and Move To... a random folder. Then move it back to the desktop. At least the links then will line up neatly to the left. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1278437 Title: can't move link type .desktop files around on desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1278437/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 868467] [NEW] nautilus crashes when clicking Home Folder in launcher

[Bug 245013] [NEW] Can't stop Copy to library
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox When a cd is in the cd-rom drive Rhythmbox shows a button Copy to library. What does this button do and why can't I stop what it does? [Bug 178652] Re: No access to non-default sound format profiles
I encountered this same bug. Under Edit Profiles the following profiles are available: - CD Quality, Lossless - CD Quality, Lossy - Voice, Lossless - Voice, Lossy - CD Quality, AAC - CD Quality, MP3 All are active. However, under Output Format only the first 4 profiles are available. Changing the active field on any of the profiles does not have any effect. This made MP3 and AAC appear in the available Output Formats: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sound-juicer/+bug/195483/comments/19 There seem to be 2 bugs here: - technical: the active field does not work - usability: the active field should not be selectable if the underlying codecs are not available -- No access to non-default sound format profiles https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 35112] Re: MP3 track times are incorrect
Using xingheader instead of xingmux (see comment #17) fixed the problem for me. It seemed to worked for a while, so I stopped paying attention. Recently I dug into it again and noticed that the problem reappeared, at least since January 9th 2007. Right now: - xingheader ! id3v2mux results in wrong bitrate and track time - xingmux ! id3v2mux results in wrong track time in Totem and Nautilus. ** Changed in: gst-plugins-ugly0.10 (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released = Confirmed -- MP3 track times are incorrect https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/35112 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 14692] Re: hal detects written DVD as empty
I'm not sure if my problem is exactly the same, but it's pretty close. Written data DVD's aren't detected at all by my DVD writer. 1. Empty DVD's are recognized as such, and I can write to them with CD/DVD Creator. 2. Once written, if I re-enter the DVD it's not detected at all. It's not mounted. /var/log/messages: Dec 1 01:25:23 localhost kernel: [ 477.214504] cdrom: This disc doesn't have any tracks I recognize! python cdcaps.py /dev/hdb: CDO_USE_FFLAGS returned 13 got drive capabilities: 23fbef CDC_DVD_RAM support CDC_DVD_R support CDC_DVD support CDC_CD_RW support CDC_CD_R support got disc status: 101 System: Ubuntu Edgy AMD64 Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110 However: 3. The DVD is detected and mounted by my CD-ROM writer in another computer. [Bug 64155] sound juicer should warn for jitter errors
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sound-juicer When ripping cd's Sound Juicer tries to correctly read the tracks. If it doesn't immediately succeed (because of scratches on the cd) it wil keep on trying at slower cd speeds. Eventually it will produce a result. Sound Juicer will not tell you though whether the resulting file contains errors or not. There is no way to find out other than to listen to each file. E.g. CDex on Windows will label each resulting file OK or X? if it contains errors. Sound Juicer should warn for errors too. ** Affects: sound-juicer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- sound juicer should warn for jitter errors https://launchpad.net/bugs/64155 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
