This is indeed still a problem in Intrepid Alpha 6 updated as of
September 22, 2008.  The uncheck 'Undirect Fullscreen Windows'
workaround fixes it though.

This seems to happen whenever I go from AC power to battery power on my
laptop.  It appears to attempt to draw a notification bubble attached to
the battery icon but it isn't filled in with any text/color/icons.
Shortly after, it crashes.
