This seems to be caused by the bcmwl Broadcom driver for the bcm4313. I can confirm this symptom as well - all other network connected devices grind to a halt with this driver - i.e. Streaming media on xbox360 is unusable - I put my laptop to sleep and BAM - all devices are good again... wake the laptop up, let it connect and instantly everything starts buffering and stuttering. Interestingly, if I do a sudo iwconfig eth1 with the bcmwl driver, I also get a kernel panic. Can anyone confirm this behaviour?
