Public bug reported:

Hi.

I cannot say how frustrated I was and am because this was not fixed in
3.8.16 ...

At least I hope this report WILL be taken seriously as I it seems like
launchpad is as much ignorant as other bugtrackers for helping out and
investigating paritcular issue ..

As always - if any log requiered, I will be happy to provide them :)

Binary package hint: gdm

Hi.

As I had issues with window mapping in Compiz like almost each and every
one of us in natty, I tried to use these commands to temporarly fix
issue(s), but -

None of them actually worked. Instead - after hitting Run in ALT+F2
popup window, system freezed on SystemVInit module ...

Thanks. It would be great to investigate thi(-e)s(-e) issue(s)...

yes, it would be logical result of such drag and drop action.

[Bug 790104] Re: Missing Folder Drag and Drop from Taskbar within GNOME Classic

2011-06-01 Thread HX_unbanned
Consider situation:

You have opened two Nautlis windows ( folders ). Nautlis window A (
folder A ) and folder B.

Now you want to send folder B into folder A so the Nautlius window
(folder A) would contain two tabs - folder A and folder B. That means I
should be able to drag and drop folder B into folder A, but I cannot.

Hope you got the idea, Pedro ;)

[Bug 790104] [NEW] Missing Folder Drag and Drop from Taskbar within GNOME Classic

2011-05-30 Thread HX_unbanned
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I just found out that I could not manage to do the following:

- move mouse cursor inside Nautilus application in taskbar
- select the window and drag it on top of other Nautilus (folder) application
- drop it.

The result should be that the Nautilus application that I dropped into
selected Nautilus application would create new Tab.

It did not happen.

It is very weird because Linux should have such features by default ...

[Bug 747072] [NEW] Ubuntu is suddenly becoming non-responsive ( freezing ) in various scenarios

2011-04-01 Thread HX_unbanned
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

This issue is struggling me for already ~ 2 months or so, so I decided
to collect the data and report and HOP[E THAT SOMEONE will actualy do
something, not just say usual stuff / crap like your package is non
genuine ubuntu package or use the packages that are native for your
distribution and version et cetera ...

So, in most cases this non-responsiveness / freeze occurs after:

1. Opening Opera 11.01 ( latest for Ubuntu ) if FireFox 4.0 is opened ;
2. Machine Uptime, lomger than 12 hours ( in idle ) ...

Result sometimes, after freezing and thus waiting is that GDM is crashed
and automatically I am dropped to bash ( w/o GUI ).

In this non-GUI mode there is line with message saying Plymouth:
crashed.

After runniing /etc/init.d/gdm restart system successfuly launches
Gnome and PC is usable again.

This issue occurs with various kernels ( MGTK 2.6.36 ; .37 ) and various
Fglrx ( previously with AMD Catalyst 10.12 ; now with AMD Catalyst 11.3
) versions. I simply do not know what are my options.

[Bug 645801] [NEW] GTK+ GUI element graphical style disbalance in various other GUI elements

Public bug reported:

Hello.

Recently run in several problems of Pidgin, so had to focus on this
software. Recently, very accidentally, found out issue that can be best
described by attached image. To see this bug, Zoom to 200 - 300% in the
top-left corner - between Tabs page and Tab itself. You will see that
there are color mismatch and also - the Tab itself has got no bright
1x1px size line, but Tabs Page has got such ( inner-) line.

For details, see attached image!

[Bug 606587] [NEW] Rhythmbox missing core feature: Drag and Drop for playlists ( .pls / .m3u ) from File and Folder Manager(s)

2010-07-17 Thread HX_unbanned
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

This feature would be VERY handy and useful because currently only
option to create / import playlsit is from Rhythmbox GUI.

It would be great to have such feature directly by dragg9ing and
dropping playlist file to Playlists section in Rhythmbox GUI.

In my humble option this feature is very easy to implement.

[Bug 601556] [NEW] Customize Themes - Colors changes are not correctly applied to several components

2010-07-04 Thread HX_unbanned
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-themes

Sorry if Affected Package is not correct here.

Just found a need to change some Appearance settings and sadly, hit
several bugs.

So - currently I have Custom theme:
- Clearlooks Controls;
- Windows Text color changed to #C2C681
- New Wave Window Borders
- Humanity-Dark Icons
- Default Pointer

After I was changing Windows Text color in Colors tab, I found out that
after second change of Text color, in these applet / applications Window
Text color was not changing anymore - that is, for example, after first
change I had Red color; then I changed it to #C2C681, and after applying
it, in several places Red color was left.

Affected places, so far noticed, are:
1. FireFox / SwiftFox ( currently used );
2. Language Indicator in System Menu;
3. Skype notifications;

It would be great to have this issue fixed.

[Bug 563655] Re: Empty lines in Open With... dialog ...

2010-04-20 Thread HX_unbanned
Actually - IT IS BUG!
It is bug because I have not edited corresponding configuration files by myself
at all. Also - these entries are created by installers and package managers
automatically - so - as these lines WERE made automatically, it means they are
made in wrong way and it therefore means it is bug ;)
Call it wrong config etc., but it just means that setups or package managers
do not correctly handle appending procedure to this list.

[Bug 565264] Re: SAMBA shared folder on computer is mounted for no real prupose

2010-04-19 Thread HX_unbanned
Because my job specification req that I must work in many cases on other
PCs and do not use local folders at all. Sometimes these unnecessary
mounted folder makes real mess. I wish I had at least an option to turn
off local folder mounted, if I access them through network :(
Unfortunately I am only Windows programmer, not Linux ... so cannot help
myself to add this feature :(

Also, sometimes my only way is to use TeamViewer to work remotely ...

Em, no. Not like that way, if I understood you.
Usecase would be:
I open Network from Nautilus ; Access Workgroup ; Open my computer ( named
KOMPIIC ) ; Open shared folder ( named Documents ).
Result is that I have documents on kompiic icon on desktop, which actually is
same folder as Documents folder.
Hope this describes the issue.

I simply do not see sense to create new mounting point and folder, if

2010-04-15 Thread HX_unbanned
Please specify exact result or choose the implementation you wish:

1) There is Mono icon in the bar where Rhythmbox, Display, Volume is placed;
2) There are Mono icon in standard Indicator Applet, which therefore means I
simply replace the Icon with Monochrome version.
3) You meant that There must be icon, which would be used for Legacy Monitors.

Setting status to Incomplete because it is unclear what whishlist's

[Bug 551455] [NEW] Missing Autocomplete / Suggestions in Send To... in Nautilus context menu

2010-03-30 Thread HX_unbanned
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

If I want to send Mail ( with Evolution, for example ) several times, I
need to re-write ( same ) email address over and over again. There is no
History / Autocomplete / Suggestions in email address Edit box.

Again - small, but MUST-HAVE fix in Lucid!!!

I have also installed Nautilus Actions Configuration. If this can be
tweaked or turned on, please specify place where to do it.

Thanks. I hope this will be taken seriously ;)
