[Bug 500839] Re: no sounds in games
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 533040 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533040 This is not a duplicate of Bug #533040 since in these gnome-games the sound does not work at all, even if the “Sound Enabled” box is checked. I.e., for the game “iagno” the user would go to Settings - Preferences and see that the Sound is Enabled. Yet when you play the game, no sound effects are heard even if the volume is at max. However, the sound in other programs works fine. -- no sounds in games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-games in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 483957] Re: Gimp freezes with Drop Shadow, crashes system, need power down
I am using GIMP v2.6.7-1ubuntu1.1 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic (kernel: 2.6.31-19-generic). I have found that GIMP will completely lock up the computer when a user uses processor-intensive tools, such as the Gradient and Path tools. Zooming into the picture seems to cause the computer to freeze as well. Does GIMP have a log that can be checked if crashes occur? -- Gimp freezes with Drop Shadow, crashes system, need power down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 483957] Re: Gimp freezes with Drop Shadow, crashes system, need power down
I have also noticed that GIMP will crash when using the Path Tool for any length of time. The whole system will freeze and the user will have to do a complete restart. (Oddly enough, the mouse can still be moved though nothing can be clicked.) -- Gimp freezes with Drop Shadow, crashes system, need power down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 500839] Re: no sounds in games
I can confirm that the gnome-games 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu1 package on Ubuntu Karmic has no sound. I.e., when a user plays gnometris, gnibbles, and iagno nothing is heard, even though sound is enabled in those games. However, sound works perfectly from other games such as OpenArena. -- no sounds in games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-games in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 428396] Re: gnometris doesn't display the game area
I can confirm that gnometris 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu Karmic still has graphical problems with the ATI open source drivers. -- gnometris doesn't display the game area https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428396 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-games in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 483957] Re: Gimp freezes with Drop Shadow, crashes system, need power down
I have this same GIMP bug. I use gimp version 2.6.7-1ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic i386. It seems when I zoom in on a file such as .xcf and use various brushes, the computer will get slower and slower and and everything freezes except the mouse. This happens even when there is still plenty of RAM left. Trying Ctrl+Alt+Backspace does not work and Alt+F2 can't be invoked to kill the frozen gimp package. The user is forced to do a hard reboot and start all over. -- Gimp freezes with Drop Shadow, crashes system, need power down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/483957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
