[Bug 863154] Re: Wacom Bamboo One tablet random coordinate malfunctions
I can confirm the bug in ubuntu 12.4 alpha (64bit) (xorg 1.10.4) on an Asus Eee Slate ep121 Tablet with both the build in wacom digitizer and an usb intuos4 W As pointed out the problem is not only a gimp (2.6.11) problem. I can generate the lines with the jpen java Tablet library as well. Since the touch input on the ep121 is currently difficult to get to work, the wacom input is crutial for usability of the device. Is there any definite confirmation that the bug is fixed in xorg 1.11 ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863154 Title: Wacom Bamboo One tablet random coordinate malfunctions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gimp/+bug/863154/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 872461] [NEW] No fallback for progress display if the desktop environment does not have indicator support
Public bug reported: If there is no indicator support in the desktop environment, there is no fallback to a status icon. Additionally, the progress window is set to not display in the pager. In consequence the window disappears behind all other windows when using GNOME Shell and there is no easy way to see that a progress is actually going on and there is no notification when the progress is finished. As the window is displayed neither in the Activities overview nor in the Alt-Tab switcher, the only way to get to it is to move all windows to another workspace. A solution would be to remove the patch that hides the window from the pager. This should not affect the Unity user interface, as the window is displayed in the launcher anyway. As I found out, this is exactly the same error message when trying to unmount in a shell as non-root user. So, the error message should state something like Only root wants to mount For the desktop it looks like a permission problem? Perhaps udev/hal? [Bug 36581] Re: gam_server consumes lots of cpu time
That's good. It's still a problem for me on Dapper. Just to let you know that, although the bug is pending for a long time now, work on this still is appreciated :-) -- gam_server consumes lots of cpu time https://launchpad.net/bugs/36581 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 9054] Re: gedit does not read from a pipe
Indeed, it fails (= opens an empty document) under gnome-terminal and rxvt. My version is 2.14.2 , I'm using Dapper. -- gedit does not read from a pipe https://launchpad.net/bugs/9054 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 36581] Re: gam_server consumes lots of cpu time
Could you elaborate on that? http://packages.ubuntu.com/dapper/base /ubuntu-desktop lists gamin as required. I installed a kubuntu daily dapper-live-i386.iso of last week and have gamin installed by default, showing the above bug. I cannot tell what triggers it, I tried to reproduce but failed, it happens randomly. I have neighter KMail nor Akregator running on this system. Besides the CPU load, filling up .xsession-errors is a serious problem, mine is 114 MB right now. -- gam_server consumes lots of cpu time https://launchpad.net/bugs/36581 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 36581] Re: gam_server consumes lots of cpu time
I don't quite understand. Does the Ubuntu desktop team care only about Ubuntu, not Kubuntu? If you do a standard Kubuntu 6.06 install, you're hit by this bug. This will concern many users, and should be a priority, I think. Otherwise Kubuntu CDs will ship with this bug ... -- gam_server consumes lots of cpu time https://launchpad.net/bugs/36581 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
