[Bug 584896] [NEW] Highlight Mode is not remembered with files stored on NFS
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit I have all my important files stored on an NFS share. I use the Makefile Highlight Mode for text files and if I set them on files that are stored on locally mounted NFS shares then that setting will be lost if I close and open the file again. I just did a test and in fact, this seems to be the case with locally stored files too. Open file, set Highlight Mode, Close file, then re- Open and Highlight Mode is lost. This worked file in the gedit on Ubuntu Karmic Koala (9.10). $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Release:10.04 $ apt-cache policy gedit gedit: Installed: 2.30.0git20100413-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.30.2-0ubuntu1 Version table: 2.30.2-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages *** 2.30.0git20100413-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: gedit (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gedit highlight mode nfs -- Highlight Mode is not remembered with files stored on NFS https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gedit in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 363101] Re: gvfs-gphoto2-volume-monitor prevents Sansa e250 player from auto-mounting
The reporter said this seems to be fixed, to me that does not seem 100% sure. The bug is still present in Karmic. Killing gvfs-gphoto2-volume-monitor does not help. After killing gvfs-gphoto2-volume-monitor, it almost gets there: [ 5379.004052] usb 1-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5 [ 5379.141025] usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 5379.162235] scsi5 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices [ 5379.162444] usb-storage: device found at 5 [ 5379.162447] usb-storage: waiting for device to settle before scanning Without killing it, this is what I get a dmesg output with usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed I'm using a Sony B135 MP3 player: Bus 001 Device 005: ID 054c:036e Sony Corp. Sorry I didn't open a new bug as stated. It seemd right to append here. Ubuntu 10.04 is out in a few days. I intend to upgrade and try again. -- gvfs-gphoto2-volume-monitor prevents Sansa e250 player from auto-mounting https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363101 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
