[Bug 1280947] [NEW] Evince freezes Unity on drag to full window

2014-02-16 Thread indy
Public bug reported:

Dragging evince from half-side to full window causes a complete freeze
of Unity.

Try out:
1) Open a PDF file
2) Drag the top bar to the right edge of the screen: the window resizes to
cover the right half of the screen
3) Quickly drag the top bar to the top edge of the screen and release: Unity
will freeze while resizing evince.

Killing Evince after passing to a console with CTR+ALT+F1 does not
resolve the problem.

2008-01-07 Thread Indy
So, is there any progress in fixing this? Also, the slow-down and the
initial problem is still present in:

Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon
Nautilus 2.20.0

Thank you, and good luck fixing this :)

I also hope that the delay during loading desktop is fixed, and I can
confirm that it is encountered only in Gutsy, and not in Feisty neither
in former versions.

The coordinates are: 39-42N 020-49E. You can see this, and more, here:
http://adds.aviationweather.gov/metars/stations.txt
Here: http://www.meteo.gr/stations/ioannina/ is a site about the weather

[Bug 129026] GNOME Weather Report custom location problem

2007-07-30 Thread Indy
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I decided to start using GNOME Weather Report, so I added it to my
panel. However, I found out that although it included many small
locations, towns, and even villages in Greece, it didn't include
Ioannina, one of the 5 bigger cities in Greece (and as you probably
supposed, my hometown). So, I decided to add my own, custom entry for
it, at /usr/share/gnome-applets/gweather/Locations.xml so I can be aware
of the weather conditions in my location. In the Greece element, I
added (keeping alphabetical order) the location element, with name
Ioannina, English name Ioannina, and Greek name Ιωάννινα. I added
the city code, LGIO and the coordinates. I saved, and then I selected
it through the GNOME Weather Report interface. But, it couldn't find any
information, it couldn't update, so, it didn't display me the current
weather conditions. So, please, either add Ioannina to the GNOME Weather
Report, or see why it couldn't find any information. Thanks a lot, in
advance.

[Bug 128521] GNOME applications delay to start

2007-07-28 Thread Indy
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

When I set a domain name for my computer through network-admin, every
application that had to do with gnome itself, and gtk libraries (such as
gnome-terminal, xterm, or Open Home Folder) delayed very much to start.
I searched it, and I found out that in /etc/hosts the name of my
computer (my host name) was removed from 127.0.0.1. I added it again,
and everything went back to normal (all applications started in good
time).

[Bug 128521] Re: GNOME applications delay to start

2007-07-28 Thread Indy
I use Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn, but I also encountered this error in
Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy Eft. To reproduce the bug, start network-admin go to
the General tab, and set a Domain name. Then, try to start an
application such as gnome-terminal, or try to open Home Folder form
the Places menu. You will notice the delay until the application
starts. Check /etc/hosts to see what happened there. Good luck in fixing
the bug, and thank you.
