[Bug 1159411] Re: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in empathy_account_widget_apply_and_log_in()
Generally speaking, it happens with accounts that are not using browser authorization. For me, any type of waiting workaround is not working, I just have to restart system in order to set up ICQ account. It messes up again after removing and trying to re-add, and unfortunately, at least ICQ plugin is not working at all (and I believe it is connected to this bug). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1159411 Title: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in empathy_account_widget_apply_and_log_in() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1159411/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1116281] Re: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in empathy_account_widget_apply_and_log_in()
@bwat47 @Donato Roque: I have found out that bug with No online contacts is connected to another crash (segmentation fault) with different conditions that this bug has, but I'm not able to reproduce it reliably. Here you can found incomplete tries to report that: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1130219 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1117583 What I know, empathy's GUI is killed but there are still running some parts (telepathy?) in background and you are still connected to working services without empathy's GUI, which is obviously not able to re-bind or restart whole process hierarchy and cannot display online contacts. So, please, if you found out how to reproduce this, It would be nice if you could open one of that bugs (or another if it is not that crash you are experiencing). Empathy's development state is critical, I also experience another reported crashes with it. Unreliable and insecure. But it is not moving anywhere, unfortunately. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1116281 Title: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in empathy_account_widget_apply_and_log_in() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1116281/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1127482] Re: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in empathy_account_widget_discard_pending_changes()
This bug is not fixed, at least for me: Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail x64 Linux 3.8.0-8-generic ~$ apt-cache show gnome-control-center Package: gnome-control-center ... Version: 1:3.6.3-0ubuntu13 ... It happens with every single account which require filling account details. Accounts authorized through web authorization pages are working fine. Some of affected are: Jabber, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo. Crash happens hitting both Cancel or Done button. No fields or forms are visible at all. [Bug 1116281] Re: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in empathy_account_widget_apply_and_log_in()
Additional details: -- This bug occurs with empathy's account-plugin-* , (which require to fill up credentials). With account-plugin-* based on web authentication, everything seems to be ok. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open System Settings -- Online accounts 2. Try to add some of these accounts: aim, icq, jabber, yahoo (possibly also gadugadu, irc, mxit, myspace, salut, sametime, sip, zephyr) 3a. You can see there are fields for account details missing. If not, and everything seems ok, I found out how to reproduce this bug === proceed to 3b. 3.b Fill up credentials and open Empathy. Then try to remove added account and try to add it again. The fields are missing now. Sometimes this is fixed again after system restart. 4. Click on Cancel or Done. You will experience this crash. Even if you can fill up informations (see 3b), plugins, at least icq, does not seem to be working. I have rebuilt and installed empathy and gnome-control-center from source with GCC -g flag (with debugging symbols) and reproduced crash. [Bug 970108] [NEW] File operations dialog shows incorrect information in Precise
Public bug reported: When copying or moving multiple large files with nautilus, you can see there is a confusing counter. From beginning it shows Copying/Moving file 0 of X and it ends with Copying/Moving file (X-1) of X. I think this is caused by indexing arrays and other similar structures (starting from 0), in this case it is correct to show index+1 for the counter. I'm not sure, if there is same problem for other file operations, such as deleting and other, I didn't have sample files for trying that, and, honestly, I'm not sure how many similar dialogs for file operations nautilus provides. For reproduce this bug, simply copy or move multiple files (have to be larger to notice).
