[Bug 241736] Re: support EPUB format
Evince *should* suport epub. Having a handful of apps, clearly labeled, to handle out-of-the-box all of the most popular content formats is one of the best selling points for Ubuntu in my experience. I read the Ubuntu Brainstorm idea turn down - the approver showed very poor judgement. Okular supports epub because it is expected of it. Evince is already years behind Okular. [Bug 568749] [NEW] sftp link support is missing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal Support for the SFTP protocol is missing on the Gnome Terminal. HTTP, FTP and other protocols work just fine. [Bug 568749] Re: sftp link support is missing
Oh, I deal with bug reports daily, as I am a professional developer, and I can assure you, given common familiarity with the application, my description would've been quite enough. However, let me make things clearer; 1) Open the Gnome Terminal; the default terminal emulation application in Ubuntu. 2) Type echo http://bugs.launchpad.net;. Hit enter. 3) Right-click on the link, select open link. See how that works? OK, now try this; 1) Once on the Gnome Terminal, type echo sftp://some.server.with/files/in/it; 2) Place the pointer on top of the address - notice how the link's protocol is not entirely underlined; the terminal mistakes an SFTP link for an FTP one. Please let me know if this is still not clear enough. ** Changed in: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = New -- sftp link support is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568749 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 163366] Re: Can't move to trash a file on a mounted filesystem
I'm running 9.04. It's happening to me. I have several hard drives that I mount through Nautilus. They are all either Ext3 or NTFS drives. I can normally send files to trash on all NTFS drives - they are simply moved to .Trash-1000 on the drive and appear on the Trash Can. However, whenever I try the same on my Ext3 drives (other than the ones mounted during boot) I get the can't send the file to trash, do you want to delete it? pop-up. This is really annoying, and just costed me a large file that I accidentally deleted. Please let me know what the information you require to move forward on this is. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Incomplete -- Can't move to trash a file on a mounted filesystem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163366 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 387334] Re: gnome-terminal does not recognize sftp:// urls (thinks they're ftp urls)
Confirming as well. This is really annoying. I'm using sftp links on the terminal for work, on a daily basis, and am therefore forced to use Konsole, which, of course, has this feature working perfectly. Please, give it a couple of minutes, it can't be that much of a fuzz. -- gnome-terminal does not recognize sftp:// urls (thinks they're ftp urls) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387334 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
