Thank you gray, it really solved my problem!

I'm having many audio problems in this Hardy Heron release, even my
audio mixer is not working properly, but with your help I was able to
solve one of them.


For a moment I though it was a problem related with rhythmbox since I didn't 
notice the same behavior in  other audio applications.
