Patch for xchat-gnome to use append. Question though for notify-osd developers: Is there any scenario where appending ISN'T the right behavior? Is it a common case? Since the normal behavior of upstream's notification-daemon is to add another notification for each notification, it seems that appending as the default would be the closest to normal behavior. In the odd case where one wouldn't want append, maybe an opt-out hint (x-canonical-no- append?) could be specified. ** Patch added: xchat-gnome-notify-osd-append-hint.diff https://bugs.launchpad.net/notify-osd/+bug/334809/+attachment/1747246/+files/xchat-gnome-notify-osd-append-hint.diff ** Changed in: xchat-gnome (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = In Progress ** Changed in: notify-osd Status: Invalid = New ** Changed in: notify-osd (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- design problem? infinite wait for long queue https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334809 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to xchat-gnome in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 682252] [NEW] Evince opens PDFs completely above screen, not listed in task-list or alt-tab
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince The first time I open any PDF file, evince always opens completely above the screen. The only way I can get at it is to hit alt-space to get a window menu, then move the window down. Maybe this would be better if there were 2 indicators... one to accept and one to reject? Unless I'm mistaken, that's still the february 11th 2010 release, which is 10.0.45.2. It's still considered a pre-release alpha refresh version. 10.1 is still 32-bit only. FWIW, I've had good luck with mozilla-plugin-gnash lately. It does real 32bit and 64 bit support, and is a lot more stable. It's still slower than adobe's, but it's improved a lot in the past couple years. On Sun, Apr 18, 2010 at 12:27, Paul-Sebastian Manole brokenth...@gmail.com wrote: Sorry for my big mistake. [Bug 376793] Re: HP 2140 Lid Close Not Detected
A few things related I've noticed about this issue. 1) While the lid is closed, the screen is actually left on, meaning it's still drawing power. Makes this a little more severe, and explains why my battery's been dying so much faster than I expected. 2) When the lid closure is triggered, I can see (by peering through a slight crack) that the screen does turn off, then about half a second to a second later turns back on, and the screen flickers. 3) When the lid is opened, the screen flickers once again. -- HP 2140 Lid Close Not Detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/376793 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
