Marcello, This sounds very similar a bug that was fixed some time ago (I can't find the bug report now). I reported this upstream (gnome) and attached a patch there. Can you explain what it is you were trying to do? The steps that you took to cause this error? i.e. I checked the install box next to shotwell, and then pressed the apply button. I'm not actually sure if this is a shotwell issue or a software center issue (or something else entirely). I'd suggest removing shotwell- common and shotwell and then installing shotwell.
