I muted the PC speaker on my laptop for now in the volume applet, otherwise the horribly annoying beep plays for me too. [Bug 95853] Re: Delete file in Nautlus - no warning
This is irritating to me, I wish it would include a working toggle to enable a dialog warning when deleting files. At least remove the part in the checkbox description under nautilus prefs that says "or deleting files" since it doesn't work.
