[Bug 277982] [NEW] Google PDF won't work right. Is this a bug?
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince I downloaded this PDF book from Google: http://books.google.com/books/pdf/The_Major_Tactics_of_Chess.pdf?id=1ulCIAAJoutput=pdfsig =ACfU3U28DjSj80r4I-GXYxWRvAWAsCp2Tg it has a number of picture examples in it that can't be seen (I am using Ubuntu Hardy). for what its worth, Sumatra in Windows sees the pictures but not the words. (and crashes) Is this a bug or bad format? Should evince be able to handle this? [Bug 114353] Feisty won't remember my dual monitor setup
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: yelp using Nvidia drivers. when I boot up, I always have to go into SysinfoNvidiaNvidia Display SettingsXServer Display Configuration and Configure it to Twinview. The Separate X Screens don't work at all, which is what I really want. but I can do with twinview.. When I do Twinview, I save the settings, and all is fine till I reboot. SysInfo sees GPU 0 (GeForce FX 5600) and lists 2 CRTs under it, but it only has 1 X Screen listed above that. as far as saving the file, basically, SysInfo never saves that file Xorg. I'm not married to SysInfo, If there is another way, please let me know, as I would happily mod the Xorg file myself to fix the problem, but I don't know what I am doing there, so I use a GUI app to do it. I've tried it on 4 different monitors so i don't think it is monitor specific, I am quite sure it is an Ubuntu setting thing. [Bug 107176] Re: [feisty] My data drives keep unmounting on bootup.
I do notice on bootup, and it started about the time my mounted drive statrted unmounting, When rebooting, right before it gets to the login screen I see in the text that scrolls by - my 4 drives being listed out and a red [fail] message to the right. Pretty vague I know. It would be nice to send you that log too. i unplugged my unused usb multi-memory card device (which maps as a drive), but that didn't affect it. Here is my kern.log after i did that. ** Attachment added: kern.log http://librarian.launchpad.net/7343527/kern.log -- [feisty] My data drives keep unmounting on bootup. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107176 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-volume-manager in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

They are NTFS drives. They were staying mounted just fine until 2 days ago. I'm not smart enough to run some command to do it. I think it happened after the most recent kernel update. There were a lot of different updates flying back forth.
