[Bug 1508146] Re: Alt+left/right arrows switch between tty consoles (Gnome Shell vanishes), cannot disable
At the peril of adding another Me Too comment, this happened to me on 18.04.1 sudo kbd_mode -s has fixed it for me. There are two relevant things that I have been running on my system before this happened. 1) I have synergy installed, to share my keyboard and mouse to another computer (installed recently) 2) I was playing with /dev/uinput [0] [0] https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/422698/how-to-set-absolute-mouse-cursor-position-in-wayland-without-using-mouse -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1508146 Title: Alt+left/right arrows switch between tty consoles (Gnome Shell vanishes), cannot disable To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1508146/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1758163] Re: Please remove xchat-gnome from Ubuntu (again)
I find my way here after losing xchat-gnome on the bionic upgrade: Ok - so I just tried out hexchat - and that seems to be pretty good alternative / update. Is there a way to get apt to suggest / recommend hexchat instead of failing to install xchat-gnome? """ # sudo apt-get install xchat-gnome Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Package xchat-gnome is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source E: Package 'xchat-gnome' has no installation candidate """ It would be useful for that to print the alternatives - or just install hexchat as a replacement :D -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to xchat-gnome in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1758163 Title: Please remove xchat-gnome from Ubuntu (again) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xchat-gnome/+bug/1758163/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1496581] [NEW] GOA configured Google calendar not using OAuth2
Public bug reported: I'm hitting this issue on my Ubuntu 15.04 installation regularly! https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=728496 Its symptom is to present a non-descript modal input box requesting a password for my e-mail without any description as to why, or who is asking for it. More distinctly, you can enter either an incorrect or correct password, and it will respond with "invalid password" This leaves the user feeling quite dismayed, and concerned as to what is being authenticated with my credentials. The gnome bugzilla suggests that the issue has been resolved, and so this simply needs a version bump - or a backport. lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 15.04 Release:15.04 apt-cache policy evolution-data-server evolution-data-server: Installed: 3.12.11-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 3.12.11-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 3.12.11-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ vivid/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: evolution-data-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution-data-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1496581 Title: GOA configured Google calendar not using OAuth2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-data-server/+bug/1496581/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
