[Bug 990727] Re: Can't assign keybinding Ctrl-Alt-w
Here, I poked around. As a workaround, do this from a terminal: $ gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys www 'ControlAltw' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990727 Title: Can't assign keybinding Ctrl-Alt-w To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-control-center/+bug/990727/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 990727] Re: Can't assign keybinding Ctrl-Alt-w
Sorry, my response was about the open bug (which I had the same problem with). So again, to provide support to the others who ask, How do we bind our switch workspace up key? You may try this: $ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-to-workspace-up ['ControlAltw'] I didn't test it, but hopefully it works for you. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990727 Title: Can't assign keybinding Ctrl-Alt-w To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-control-center/+bug/990727/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 22930 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/22930 After further searching, I found that there indeed exists a software workaround. [Bug 113493] Gnome weather report doesn't search for next location entry
You have been subscribed to a public bug: (Ubuntu Feisty Fawn 7.04) The problem is that the search bar for the weather app doesn't search for next entries which match. If you go to preferences for the weather app in the gnome panel and click the location tab there is a find text area on the bottom. To reproduce this type in Santa Barbara and then Santa Barbara Zulia in Venezuela is selected. However, find next is grayed out. This obscures the fact that there is a Santa Barbara, CA, USA location further down the list. ** Affects: gnome-applets (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Confirmed -- Gnome weather report doesn't search for next location entry https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/113493 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 108771] Re: Totem stops buffering and won't play a movie stream if the initial cache fill fails
I use Feisty Fawn. Totem version 2.18.1. I believe the cache fill fails because the progress bar on the bottom scrolls and stops before it hits 100% for the initial stream load. The same thing occurs when the network stream is unable to keep up the bitrate as fast as the movie progresses. IE: it pauses to recache the stream during playback. However, when the movie has already started to play subsequent pauses appropriately wait util the cache fills back up and then continue. It almost appears as if the initial load has a timeout on it. I trigger the bug by loading a HD (480p) movie trailer off of Apple's Quicktime movie trailer site. I don't always hit it, just sometimes. Once again, mplayer doesn't exhibit this issue. -- Totem stops buffering and won't play a movie stream if the initial cache fill fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108771 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 108771] Totem stops buffering and won't play a movie stream if the initial cache fill fails
You have been subscribed to a public bug: If you attempt to load a large movie, say an HD trailer at Apple's Quicktime Movie trailer page, if the initial cache fill fails Totem quits attempting to fill the buffer. However, if Totem makes it through that initial cache fill, subsequent network delays properly pause the video to refill the cache and continue to play once this is done. Testing this with mplayer, you can bump up the size of the cache and the cache-min value before playing. This wades through the network delay and makes it to starting the movie. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Totem stops buffering and won't play a movie stream if the initial cache fill fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108771 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 108766] Totem only plays left channel for audio from HD trailers at Apple
You have been subscribed to a public bug: If I play an HD trailer at Apple's Quicktime Movie Trailer site, the voice track comes only out of the left speaker. However, if I load it with mplayer, it plays from both speakers and sounds fine. This is with Totem's gstreamer backend, and using Feisty's automated codec search. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Totem only plays left channel for audio from HD trailers at Apple https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108766 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
