[Bug 439448] Re: Visual corruption affecting several panel applets

2010-12-31 Thread Kyle Clarke
Mahendra Tallur wrote: One more thing that I find interesting :

before and noticed the corruption didn't happen anymore when calling killall

But what can be the differences between 2 bottom panels that contain
exactly the same applets at the same location, one of

@Mahendra Tallur: Did you lock the applets when you created your own
panels?By default these are locked on the stock panels, but are not when
you add your own applets. For a while now I feel that this has something
to do with the timing in which the panels is drawn, and then the
applets. Locking them may have an effect.

[Bug 439448] Re: Visual corruption affecting several panel applets

2010-10-16 Thread Kyle Clarke
This is purely speculation, but judging from my own experiences, and
from reading these comments. I have no programing abilities what so
ever. Just an End User who wants this system to take off as soon as
possible.

Doing anything to alter the startup time, like mounting multiple drives.
having many more, or many less programs in your startup or installing
large updates tends to cause this corruption.

Sometimes I have a near 100% success rate of causing this bug if I mount
2 or more drives (automatically) at bootup.

Based on the comment about GIMP, could this be a memory issue?

Well yes it's reproducible,

the steps, have rhthymbox open, reboot, observe how it is still not open
as it was in the last session.

This is a regression since maverick.

Obviously it's a WIP, but I have to manually open Rhythmbox every time I

[Bug 555549] [NEW] About Ubuntu and Help take a very long time to start

2010-04-05 Thread Kyle Clarke
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

Seems as though About Ubuntu and Help use Firefox. This makes for a very

[Bug 552119] [NEW] EoG should display progress bar in full screen mode

2010-03-30 Thread Kyle Clarke
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eog

Above title says it all. Progress bar should show when loading new
