[Bug 1830514] [NEW] Display scaling problems when resizing windows
Public bug reported: When using multiple display scales for displays with different DPIs, resizing windows may cause windows to temporarily forget which display's scale they're supposed to be using. [Bug 1830513] [NEW] Display scaling inconsistencies while using Wayland
Public bug reported: I have a 2880x1620 onboard display and a 1080p external display that I use for my computer. As far as I can tell xorg does not allow for different scaling options for two separate displays. Based on https://askubuntu.com/questions/1028622/different-display-scale- settings-18-04 I logged in with Wayland and thought I had achieved the effect I wanted. However, after I started using my computer, I realized that some applications were still scaled based on the display I set to be primary. I have my 1080p display set as primary. Firefox, for example, looks just fine on my primary, but when I move it to the higher-DPI display, it does not look correct. [Bug 1661460] Re: appstream breaks installation as it is incompatible with gnome-software
I've just looked at the patch to enable NotAutomatic support in apt- ftparchive: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=272557#55 If this isn't fixed soon, I'll have to either redesign our customized repo software environment or upgrade our repo server from Ubuntu 14.04 to 16.04 to have an apt version new enough to be compatible with the patch, which doesn't appear natively until zesty. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #272557 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=272557 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to appstream in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1661460 Title: appstream breaks installation as it is incompatible with gnome- software To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/appstream/+bug/1661460/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 473578] [NEW] volume level wavers arbitrarily after return from screensaver
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-media Ubuntu 9.10, gnome-media 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 Also impacted: notify-osd 0.9.24-0ubuntu1 Reported audio device: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller (rev 03) This most recently occurred after coming back from X-screensaver, but I have witnessed it before. (Sorry, I don't recall the circumstances there.) The volume level would begin to waver between 54% and 56% (56 is my default) with no apparent input. It also appeared to claim mouse input, causing cursor stuttering. The volume notification stayed up during the process (as an aside, most notifications appear lower at all times, as if the volume one were always there even when not visible). My computer is an HP dv5-1235dx; it does have media keys including a volume slider, though none were being pressed or appeared to act differently if they were pressed. Using them also did not resolve the issue.
