[Bug 428817] Re: Print Dialog does not allow editing of page parameters
I think I have found a workaround: This problem does not occur on a fresh ubuntu install if I add my printer (HP Color LaserJet 2605dn) as a LPD/LPR-printer. The the device URI is lpd://ipaddress/PASSTHRU Can anyone confirm this? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428817 Title: Print Dialog does not allow editing of page parameters To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/428817/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 428817] Re: Print Dialog does not allow editing of page parameters
@Swift Arrow (swiftarrow9) Eye Of Gnome (2.32.1) does not even have a Page Setup in the Image menu. The applications that *do* have a Page Setup entry in the File menu do not provide a Paper Type option, only page orientation and paper size. I can find no way at all to set the paper type. This is important because heavier paper is moved slowly through the printer and with different temperature settings so the toner does not loosen so easily.
Fresh install of Ubuntu 10.10 on two different PC's. Printer: HP Color LaserJet 2605dn (via network) No matter if I try to print from Eye of Gnome 2.32.1, Shotwell 0.9.3 or Gimp 2.6, I cannot change the Paper Type:. It's stuck at Not available (Greyed out). I attached a screen shot. I remember that with older Ubuntu versions I could change the paper type to rough paper or labels. ** Attachment added: Page Setup.png https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/428817/+attachment/2188576/+files/Page%20Setup.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428817 Title: Print Dialog does not allow editing of page parameters To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+2.0/+bug/428817/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 160311] Re: Resizing windows by grabbing window borders is difficult [please no more comments; patches welcome]
The default ubuntu 10.10 theme has 1px borders. It's resizing hell. [Bug 371002] Re: Brasero reports incorrect drive speed
I support Schily. I think this problem would be fixed when Ubuntu switched back to cdrecord in stead of using wodim. See http://cdrecord.berlios.de/private/linux-dist.html I switched to current cd record with K3b as a front end. Works perfectly and it shows the right writing speed! -- Brasero reports incorrect drive speed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/371002 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
