hi together, I can confirm the same thing here in LinuxMint 13 with web (epiphany-browser). In Firefox and Midori it works, so: why does it not work in web?? Without a working flash in web, the Ubuntu Gnome-Remix is useless. So I would be glad, if this would be fixed. Question: does anybody know the reason, why flas his not working in web?? hi Jeremy, I found out something, what might perhaps interest you: I think, I found a possible reason for this error. Because the error resolved, after I uninstalled evince completely through Synaptic and then it removed the package libevince3-3 and installed libevview3-3 instead. And since then, this error did not return anymore. Perhaps it is possible, that this package libevince3-3 is no longer needed, because libevview 3-3 took over??? Can this be a thing?? Can you try to reproduce this error throug the following way: just open the Software-Updater in Gnome-Shell 3.5 and fetch the upgrade. Does ist tell you the same error then?? And then close this and go to the Terminal and try the following commands: sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade Then it brings up this error. Then it suggest to use the command -f So I did that, but the error came again. So I closed Terminal ans went to Synaptic and opened it. Then I uninstalled evince completely and re- installed it and this seems to resolve this by removeing libevince3-3 and replacing it with libevview 3-3. Can you check this for me please if the same thing happenes for you?? I discover the same here in Ubuntu 11.10. Yesterday, a contact wanted to invite me to share desktop because we are working on a mutual artwork-project. He tried to send me his invitation, but I did not get this on my screen. I use Ubuntu 11.10 on my Notebook with Gnome-Shell 3.2 and he uses LinuxMint 11 also with Gnome-Shell and also Arch-Linux with Gnome-Shell. But we discovered - as I wrote - that his invitation for desktop-sharing doesn't show up on my screen. So my question is: what is running wrong here?? Thanks for any advice. I can not confirm, that this bug is settled, because this same error- message is still there in synaptic when installing or removing software thoruhg Synaptic. Right after the Triggers I see this message displayed. In my case, I have this in LinuxMint 11 based on UBuntu natty Narwhal. And what I also find out: in many apps, the help-information is disabled. so how can I get this settled or what is the cause for this?? If I can't do any thing on this, I would be pleased, if this could be fixed Please fix this. hi developers, first let mw say thank you for your attention to this problem. I found the solution myself in the meantime. The problems was deeper in my system and not so much Braseros fault. I didn't use a firewall or even ClamAv at that point and so I didn't know of this infection first. But after even the Synaptic started to behave strange, I checked my system via ClamAv and it found a systemwide infection. I hadn't paid attention to a warning from my system and my ClamAv found out, that I had a corrupted system by a malware. This malware infected several installation-files of my system and that made Brasero and k3b not work for me. I had to store all my files to disk and reset my system. So you see, it is really good to use the system-own firewall and ClamAv even on LinuxMint. Bevore that I thought, that this would be really not nevessary. Similar thing here in LinuxMint 10. Today I wanted to burn an .flv-file as video-dvd. What I did: I inserted an empty 4.7 GB DVD+R and opened Brasero. There I chose new project and Video-DVD. Then I added the file. Afterwards I pressed the button burn and all what happened was, that Brasero disappeared from the screen without giving any error-message. So it seems to be impossible at the time, to burn video-dvds with Brasero. So I would like to konw, if there is any alternative program, which I can burn working video-dvds with. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: brasero Hi at the developers, since this evening I have a very hard problem with brasero. As usual, I had put in an empty DVD (4.7GB) because I wanted to burn two videos, which I had downloaded. Brasero opened and I could choose Video-CD. Then I could add the video-files. It also checked the sice of the disc and started to burn. When I clicked on the button burn in my first try, brasero closed without giving any error-message. At the second try, Brasero opened as usual and I couold choose Video again. Then I clicked on burn and it started to burn. But when it came to creating checksum for ISO after the burning, the process didn't complete although I waited more than half an hour. The process didn't complete and didn't go further. I recognised this, because normally, brasero pushes out the CDs automaticly after having completed the process. But this time, it didn't. Now I have tried it two times (After the first try, I got all updates and upgrades via Terminal. And in this upgrade this evening, there was also a brasero-update. I have let all the updates and upgrades completely run through and they installed without any problem. Then I tried again, to burn this CD, but the same issue happened again. So I thought, I give you a bug-report. Then I give you the details about my system: Distribution: LinuxMint 10 architecture x96_64 Desktop: Gnome-Desktop Brasero-Version: 2.32.0-0ubuntu2.1 LinuxMint is ubuntu-based, so I think the same is true for Ubuntu Lucid Lynx as well as for Ubuntu-Natty. hi together, I experience rstrange Evolution-crashes on Lucid Lynx on marking Emails as read. The thing is: I tested it with an Emailaccount which I have with Gmail. Everytime, when i mark 4 Emails or more for marking them as read, then Evoulution becomes dark and doesn't react anymore. In the same time, Gnome-Desktop freezes too and I can't do anything more, than doing a restart of my machine. But an Error-Message does not appear. I think, Evolution still is pretty buggy and in this way Evolution is not good for working with it at the time. So I turned back to thunderbird 3.0, where these Crashes do not happen. hi together, I see the same thing here on Gnome-desktop. I tested it yesterday with an account which I have with Gmail. Everytime, when you want to select more than 4 Email in your inbox for marking them as read, then the Evolution-GUI turns dark and does not react anymore. This behavior also causes a Desktop-Freez in Gnome- Desktop, which can only be resolved by restarting the machine. This is really eating up time, when you want to work with Evolution. I think, this is a bug in Evolution itself, which affects the Gnome-Desktop. Please fix up this error. For the meantime, I changed back to thunderbird 3.0 which does not have these issues.
