I vote for this bug. My Totem/VLC cannot play DVDs too. I tried my own

2009-06-30 Thread Lukáš Zapletal
First of all - it does not happen always, it is harder for me to
reproduce.

Second - the wiki page does not contain any information about how to
debug GDM/XDM processes. These are very special a bit. I usually restart
GDM with /etc/init.d/gdm restart but how to run it?

I will try to run "gdm" without any parameters like in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace

I get sometimes gdm segfaults when I turn on my computer. All GTK apps

Unfortunately APPORT is not able to get any information because core

no information. The guy was also not able to get any information because
apport did not help here.

What do you recommend?

First of all I thank for your support.

I use ext3 for root and ext2 for /boot. Before upgrade it worked. I have
tried to create link from the shell and from the Nautilus itself. No
change.

Should I try it on a "clean" login (testing user account with new home
dir)?

ps - this is my fourth upgrade but I am keeping my system as clean as I
can do

[Bug 371802] [NEW] Nautilus does not handle symlinks properly

2009-05-04 Thread Lukáš Zapletal
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Hi,

after an upgrade to 9.04 my Nautilus does not allow me to go into linked

I have folder called "X" in my home, I create a symlink "Y" to "X":

# ln -s X Y

When I try to open it it under Nautilus it just says: Cannot open X
because Y does not exist. Move to thrash?

Please note this is upgraded system.

[Bug 48907] Cant add and application launcher to panel

2006-06-07 Thread Lukáš Zapletal
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Hello,

after resume of hibernated machine I cannot add new application
shortcuts by leftclicking on a panel, "add to panel" and "application
starter". When the dialog is properly filled and Close button pressed,
nothing happens. No error message, nothing.

The drag and drop from menu do not work too. The only way to add a
shortcut on the panel is to restart GNOME.

I am not sure if the hibernate process triggers this bug. I have the
clean installation of Dapper Drake on ThinkPad R50e.

** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Untriaged
 Status: Unconfirmed

[Bug 48903] Rhythmbox sometimes do not pull the info to Last.fm

2006-06-07 Thread Lukáš Zapletal
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I have found the Rhythmbox do not upload information to Last.fm. I have
the username and password properly configuret, my network connection is
online and working. I found a file
~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/audioscrobbler.queue with some records filled in:

a=kNot%20Photogenic&t=Da%20Shame&b=Underexposed&m=&l=255&i=2006%2D06%2D07%2019%3A31%3A48
a=kNot%20Photogenic&t=King%20Kong%20Beatz&b=Underexposed&m=&l=252&i=2006%2D06%2D07%2019%3A36%3A03
etc...

The Last.fm is up and running. Only about every tenth song is uploaded
to Last.fm.
