I vote for this bug. My Totem/VLC cannot play DVDs too. I tried my own non-encrypted DVD and it does not work too. No luck, restarted 20 times and it did not crash. Does "b76f6000+b6000" say something to you? First of all - it does not happen always, it is harder for me to reproduce. Second - the wiki page does not contain any information about how to debug GDM/XDM processes. These are very special a bit. I usually restart GDM with /etc/init.d/gdm restart but how to run it? [Bug 48907] Cant add and application launcher to panel

When the dialog is properly filled and Close button pressed, nothing happens. No error message, nothing. The drag and drop from menu do not work too.
