[Bug 1697717] [NEW] Don't default to storing podcasts in ~

2017-06-13 Thread Luke picciau
Public bug reported:

I added some podcasts to rhythmbox and found they were being stored in
my home directory and not in a directory like ~/podcasts. This quickly
makes a mess of my home directory.

I found this bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/62400 which has
been marked as resolved a long time ago but I am still having this issue
on a new install with the default settings for rhythmbox.

[Bug 1619702] Re: Rhythmbox uses excessive resources after few days of running

2016-09-13 Thread Luke picciau
I haven't tested this bug on other setups but since opening this bug
Rhythmbox has risen to 6GB of memory usage. This happened consistently
every time I leave rhythmbox running for a long time

for a few days it starts to use excessive amounts of resources. Right
now its using 1.4GB of ram and 3% cpu.

If I restart rhythmbox then the resource usage drops back down to
reasonable levels
