[Bug 1791936] Re: GNOME system-monitor cpu graph color does not update or persist
When assigning in reverse using only custom colors as you suggested (32 down to 1), it somewhat works, although not really (there are stray colors that are not changed at all). When assigning even somewhat out of reverse order, colors revert back to what they were originally set to. The colors still are not saved on exit. Furthermore, launching from the terminal (gnome-system-monitor) reports no errors, and one warning: Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.avail/53-monospace-lcd- filter.conf", line 10: Having multiple values in isn't supported and may not work as expected ** Attachment added: "Screenshot from 2018-11-24 02-20-29.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1791936/+attachment/5215848/+files/Screenshot%20from%202018-11-24%2002-20-29.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-system-monitor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1791936 Title: GNOME system-monitor cpu graph color does not update or persist To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-system-monitor/+bug/1791936/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 295442] Re: Nautilus/file browser freezing at home, user and root folders
Like everything else I run into in linux there is the assumption on that wiki page that I know where to do what they say to do. Clear as mud. Do not make the assumption I know where to do things..most normal people would start with Open X, do Y, send file Z to this address/attach to your bug report, etc. You at least got the part about where I send the report. The wiki page does not tell me where to do what it says to do nor which of several to do's I should be doing.I'm guessing the Xorg widget since Xorg is the related process. One HUGE turnoff for Windows users trying to migrate to linux is the blanket assumption by linux types we know where to do things or can read shorthand like go to ~/.wine instead of saying to a new user go to ~/.wine, ~ means root folder, linux people assume everyone just automatically knows that as soon as linux boots. I really would like to help but people continuing to assume I know how and where to do things is seriously starting to tick me off. Start at the beginning with step 1, not the second, third or fourth step. Also learn to index the documentation, wading through page after page, after page of stuff I do not need to know is pointless, being able to find in a proper index the subject I want to learn about is the way to get me to read stuff.
