[Bug 33883] Re: hidden files not included in directory 'properties'
Bump! It's 2013! Same on 13.04. I don't know it this is related but if you set show 'hidden files' and then select the all the dot files in home followed by show properties Nautilus gets stuck in a loop counting files. It counts ~7300 files then restarts at 0, after about 30 minutes it stops at ~14000 files but the 'working' (the spinning circle thing is still spinning) is still going. This only happens if I select all dot files and folders. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/33883 Title: hidden files not included in directory 'properties' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/33883/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1172573] Re: Nautilus 3.6 list view adjusts size of columns frequently
I get the same on the ubuntu 13.04 64. It seem the problem is with the Type column. You need need at least two different file types in the folder to trigger the bug and hiding the Type column stops the annoying behaviour. But I have seen the Modified column also resize at the smallest provocation. The Sort order also seems to play some roll, in folders that the Modified column also resize the problem does not go away when hiding the Type column until you change the sort order. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1172573 Title: Nautilus 3.6 list view adjusts size of columns frequently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1172573/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1028416] Re: gnome-settings-daemon high CPU usage and keeps overwriting .config/dconf/user
** Description changed: Unfortunately not much more informations at this time but this is what I have. 1. At some point the gnome-settings-daemon will start utilising about 95% of one CPU core, iotop will show dconf-services hovering around 3 place and lsof will show show gnome-settings-daemon using .config/dconf/user. 2. This has happened five times now every time on a fairly busy system e.g Firefox and Chromium multiple tab some with active content like flash and html5, one or more virtualbox machines and a terminal or two. 3. the first three times were weeks apart but the last two was on the same day after a reboot for the kernel update. - 4. sudo kill -9 PID of gnome-settings-daemon restores the system to normal. + 4. sudo kill -9 PID of gnome-settings-daemon restores the system to normal. (Works somtimes) 5. Afterwards the .config/dconf/ folder will have several user.? files. If you need me to collect specific information next time let know. + + Happened again but this time no.4 did not work the gnome-settings-daemon was killed and /usr/bin/X :0 -auth /var/run/lightdm/root/:0 -nolisten tcp vt7 -novtswitch -background none started maxing out the one CPU core. After awhile gnome-settings-daemon restarted and continued maxing out the core. + sudo restart lightdm did however bring the system back. + sudo restart dbus was tried one time it worked but killed the wifi all my running program survived at leased allowing me to save and reboot. + + + Mmm this may have something to do with using a Bluetooth numpad as the bug started happening regularly this week and only happens during working hours. I started doing data entry this week in a VM, using the numpad more than normal. + + PS. Is it better or update the bug info here or in the comments? [Bug 504455] Re: Blanking a dvd-rw results in message: Unable to mount Blank Optical Disc
Ok it seems a update installed some time between Sunday night and when I posted #3 mostly fixed beta 1. I can now insert a used or new dvd-rw and brasero will blank and burn it but after finalising the disk (dvd or cd) it gives me a message that reads, Please eject the disc from HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T50N manually. The disc could not be ejected though it needs to be removed for the current operation to continue. I can eject the disk using Alt-F2 eject or the button on the drive, inserting the disk again does not remove the message but pressing the cancel button that's on the massage does and I get the attached log and the disk seems usable. I will test later this week with different media (dvd-r, dvd-rw and dvd+rw) to see if it was just a fluke and check if other drives correctly read the disks. ** Attachment added: brasero log for buring dvd-rw in beta1 http://launchpadlibrarian.net/42639232/brasero-session.log -- Blanking a dvd-rw results in message: Unable to mount Blank Optical Disc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/504455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 504455] Re: Blanking a dvd-rw results in message: Unable to mount Blank Optical Disc
I have a similar problem when blanking dvd-rw on my thinkpad r500. Have you tried changing the sata setting in the bios to compatibility mode? I can blank and burn dvd in compatibility mode but is still get some dbus errors. -- Blanking a dvd-rw results in message: Unable to mount Blank Optical Disc https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/504455 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
