[Bug 558816] [NEW] gnome-power-manager(?) makes my screen flicker and hibernates my computer. Even with power cable attached.
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager My laptop is quite old (4,5 years to be exact) but is fine considering its age. The battery life is real low though (as expected). I recently upgraded to Lucid and the first few days it was working nicely. However a few days ago the computer started hibernating because of low power (complete with a notification and everything) even though the power coord was plugged in. This happened every time i used the computer and always after around 1-15 minutes of usage. I thought maybe the connections in the computer was at fault but then i managed to kill the GDM session, install blackbox and run that session instead of gnome and i have now been using my computer for about 1,5 hour. I suspect that gnome-power-manager is at fault here. This is just an educated guess though.
