My stacktrace is very similar. I considered reporting here as the other bug isn't active since may (and is probably a duplicate, as bug #657351) I am running Ubuntu 10.10 32bits with the latest updates. The bug occurs when i plug in my 1st gen Iphone. Ho, and before upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10, I had the exact same behaviour : an infinite loop of starting file manager filling up the task bar.
