[Bug 1051371] [NEW] Can't play files with apostrophe in file name

2012-09-15 Thread Nate Wiebe
Public bug reported:

Using Ubuntu 12.10 with all updates. Running totem 3.4.3.

Tried playing a song from the Black Mesa Source soundtrack titled We've Got
Hostiles.
It shows up in totem as three tracks:
- We've
- Got
- Hostiles.mp3

The files cannot be played simply because it thinks it's looking for:

- /home/nate/Desktop/BMS - Soundtrack/We've
- /home/nate/Desktop/BMS - Soundtrack/Got
- /home/nate/Desktop/BMS - Soundtrack/Hostiles.mp3

After some testing, it's due to the apostrophe. I don't remember this
being an issue in 12.04.

[Bug 1045528] Re: Not able to SHIFT click when renaming a file.

2012-09-05 Thread Nate Wiebe
I would, but since 12.10 is using an older version of nautilus, I'm
guessing the chance of the fix being applied to 12.10 is pretty slim
unless you backport it. Also, I'm hoping that Ubuntu move onto another
file manager that doesn't theaten to remove features every release. The
gnome team has some warped vision that I don't agree with anymore. I'd
prefer using Marlin over Nautilus any day.

I'm thinking this fix wouldn't require too much effort. I may even
attempt a patch myself if I get the time.

[Bug 1045528] [NEW] Not able to SHIFT click when renaming a file.

2012-09-03 Thread Nate Wiebe
Public bug reported:

If you press CTRL + L to bring up the address field, left click in one
spot, then hold SHIFT and left click in another spot. It will highlight
the text between the two selections.

You are unable to do this when renaming a file. It makes highlighting
large portions of a name very tedious and should be fixed.

Running Ubuntu 12.10 and also on 12.04 both with the latest version from
the repos.

[Bug 438755] [NEW] Volume applet does not unmute when slider is put past 0

2009-09-29 Thread Nate Wiebe
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

When the volume slider is put to the bottom, volume gets muted. When you
put it back up, the slider jumps back to the bottom and stays muted.
Sometimes it will unmute, but you can get it to unmute every time by
sliding all the way up to the panel. Also, using the scroll wheel will
unmute. When sliding up, it should unmute automatically just like in
Sound Preferences. So it is a bug with just the applet.
