[Bug 191021] [NEW] epiphany won't load webpage from location bar

2008-02-11 Thread Niels Abspoel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: epiphany-gecko

I open a new epiphany browser window, it takes me to my homepage,
but if I type a url (www.google.nl) in the location bar and press enter,
it segfaults with the following error:

** (epiphany-browser:8775): WARNING **: EphyBrowser initialization
failed for 0xbc52e0

Segmentatiefout (core dumped)

The strange part is, I can open webpages that are in my bookmarks and browse
the websites,
clicking links within the page. Only if I type a url in the location bar it
segfaults.

** Affects: epiphany-browser (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

sorry Onkar Shinde can't report on this package, I use the 64-bit version.
so it is the wrong architecture.

[Bug 46419] gdmsetup segfaults when xubuntu-desktop and ubuntu-desktop are both installed

2006-05-24 Thread Niels Abspoel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gdm

gdmsetup segfaulting with both ubuntu/xubuntu desktop installed
there seems to be a conflict in gdm-ccd.conf and xubuntu.xml

I changed gdm-ccd.conf graphicalgreeter=Human and then I could open
gdmsetup again.

** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)

[Bug 46419] Re: gdmsetup segfaults when xubuntu-desktop and ubuntu-desktop are both installed

2006-05-24 Thread Niels Abspoel
I'm using dapper drake,

gdb backtrace:
Program received signal SIGSEV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread -1219683456 (LWP 5030)
0xb784c749 in q_str_hash () from /usr/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0

and further looking at the problem, ubuntu-desktop ships
xubuntu-default-settings. and in there it changes somethings for gdm,
to look and match xubuntu themes...

hope this helps..

[Bug 28700] nautilus crashes on start up with nautilus-python

2006-01-16 Thread Niels Abspoel
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/28700

Summary changed to:
nautilus crashes on start up with nautilus-python
Description changed to:
when I click on locations personal directory (to open nautilus) it
crashes with an error message with no text, just two buttons.. close
and report bug.

when I open nautilus from the terminal it just hangs...
so no more nautilus file-manager,

but nautilus draws the desktop, showing the same messages, but when
clicked close it still draws desktop...and continues..

found out it is related tot nautilus-python.
so it isn't actualy nautilus fauled.

[Bug 28700] nautilus crashes on start up with nautilus-python

2006-01-16 Thread Niels Abspoel
Public bug report changed:
https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/28700

Comment:
I'm running dapper drake, and just updated nautilus and nautilus-
python...

nautilus version: 2.13.4-0ubuntu1
nautilus-python version : 3.0-3ubuntu1

The way I found out was to remove some nautilus packages at a time and
ran nautilus again.

first nautilus-open-terminal
didn't work, installed it again.
then nautilus-script-manager
didn't work,
then nautilus-python
and lo and behold, it didn't crash anymore.

so it could only be nautilus-python stopped working with the new
nautilus package.
