[Bug 104426] [apport] gnome-terminal crashed with SIGSEGV in ft_mem_free()
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal Gnome-terminal crashed during scrolling. (this might be n:th duplicate, but I did not see a clone with ft_mem_free() identifier, so reporting to be sure) Might be related to my earlier bug report 103651. [Bug 103651] Re: [Feisty] gnome-terminal crash with long japanese input (uim/scim anthy)
Previously the bug was reproducible simply by typing any multi-segmented text to the gnome-terminal using anthy. However, it has not occurred again after my most recent reboot. I have just submitted an apport generated bug report n:o 104426 (gnome-terminal crashed when scrolling content so this might be a bug of more general nature. If any one has any bright ideas what tests to do, I will gladly post the results. -- [Feisty] gnome-terminal crash with long japanese input (uim/scim anthy) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103651 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 103651] [Feisty] gnome-terminal crash with long japanese input (uim/scim anthy)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal Update somewhere around Apr 5th seems to have fixed performance issues with tab change / font scaling, but simultaneously introduced a more annoying problem: Any attempt to type a longer (more than one word) Japanese text string using uim/anthy will cause the terminal to instantly exit with SIG 11 (also killing all programs launched from terminal). Using the alternative scim/anthy (which I guess is more of a standard nowadays) will cause the terminal to become completely unresponsive. A quick random testing seems to indicate this is anthy specific, using other uim/scim input modes has no similar repercussions. Input to other applications than gnome-terminal seem to work fine. Note: This is the first generated report. Using kernel 2.6.20-14-generic has not changed anything. [Bug 85575] Re: gnome-terminal reacting very sluggishly
Using +/- keys to scale font size seems to be extremely sluggish also, likely related. At it's worst, the entire terminal goes white and will render the text only after switching tabs and/or moving cursor over the window. -- gnome-terminal reacting very sluggishly https://launchpad.net/bugs/85575 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
