[Bug 600987] Re: evolution fails to open URLs in a browser
Or should I submit a new bug report as the error message is different now (although the symptom is the same)? ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600987 Title: evolution fails to open URLs in a browser To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/600987/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 600987] Re: evolution fails to open URLs in a browser
It still does not work in Natty Narwhal (Evolution 2.32.2). However, I get a (partly) different error message now: Could not open the link. I have checked this with Gnome now, but I still get the same error message. ** Changed in: evolution (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- evolution fails to open URLs in a browser https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600987 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 600987] [NEW] evolution fails to open URLs in a browser
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution When I click on a URL in evolution, the error message 'Could not open the link. Failed to execute child process midbrowser (No such file or directory)' pops up. This problem is perfectly reproducible, it *always* occurs when clicking on a URL in evolution. I use evolution on my KDE desktop. Initially, I installed Kubuntu 9.10. Then, I upgraded to 10.04. [Bug 483505] Re: Question for gnome-keyring password although it has not been set
Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, I cannot check this now, because I don't want to upgrade my production systems to an unstable version. However, I guess that several people who are on the also notified list and hence, receive this email have installed lucid. Can anyone of these people please check if gnome-keyring asks to set a new password (in a KDE session) after filling-in account details (including the password) in evolution when no password for gnome-keyring was set before -- e.g. by creating a new user? [Bug 483505] [NEW] Question for gnome-keyring password although it has not been set
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-keyring I have Kubuntu-karmic (9.10) and now I want to use evolution on my KDE desktop. After installing and starting evolution and filling-in my account details (including the password), a message popped up and asked for my gnome-keyring password, although I did not set a password for gnome-keyring so far. Finally, I deleted (renamed) the folder ~/.gnome2/keyrings/; after deleting this folder, evolution asked me to set a new password for gnome-keyring and everything seems to work fine so far. However, this took me some time to figure out and some less experienced users might not figure this out. So please fix this. Thanks!
