[Bug 1178945] [NEW] Shotwell crashes / greys out on launch

2013-05-11 Thread Oscar Tiderman
Public bug reported:

First time I started Shotwell it launched fine and I imported all of my
pics (local only). Now when I try to start it the window becomes
unresponsive (greyed out) before I get to see my pics, it won't even
launch properly. I imported about 2000 pics to it the first time so it's
no massive library causing this.

[Bug 1121073] [NEW] Nautilus is not showing [encrypted] units after unmount

2013-02-10 Thread Oscar Tiderman
Public bug reported:

I have an encrypted SD-card connected to my laptops card reader. After
boot I start Nautilus and I can see the unit in the unit list, it is not
mounted. I click on it to mount it and give the password with option
Remind password for session, I then copy some files to it and the press
the eject button to the right of it. Nautilus shuts down the active
window. Later I want to copy some more files to it, so I start Nautilus
again but the unit is not visible this time. I can see the SD-card in

[Bug 886605] Re: Desktop, Launcher and menu bar still visible when screen locked

2012-06-15 Thread Oscar Tiderman
Usually this will happen on my desktop if I leave it on for a long time,
I have never seen it on my laptop. I just had it with 14 day uptime and
patched with all updates during that time. From what I think something
regarding this stops working after having been patched, after a reboot
everything is fine again and not reproducible until a few updates have
been installed again without rebooting. I don't have the time to figure
out which patches actually causes this.

[Bug 901147] [NEW] No timeout in gedit when connection is lost

2011-12-07 Thread Oscar Tiderman
Public bug reported:

If connection is lost when editing a document in gedit that is on a
remote sftp/ssh server, gedit gets stuck in an endless loop when trying
to save the document. It will also fail even if the connection is
reestablished

To reproduce:
1. Open Nautilus and connect through it to your SFTP/SSH server
2. Open a .txt document with gedit and do some changes
3. Close connection to simulate a lost network situation
4. Reconnect to your SFTP/SSH server
5. Try to save the document in gedit. Gedit will now get stuck in a never
ending loop trying to save the document and will need to be killed manually

Expected:
5. Gedit will eventually timeout if it can't find the location.

[Bug 885159] [NEW] Evolution contacts doesn't show all contacts in Contact Cards view

2011-11-02 Thread Oscar Tiderman
Public bug reported:

I have 277 locally stored contacts. Sometimes (not sure what it is
related to) when I open the Contacts view I can see contacts in the
upper part of the window. However, when scrolling to the right to see
more contacts they don't appear. No matter how long I wait or scroll
back and forth they just won't show up. Neither does it help to go to
another view and then back to contacts, the only thing that helps is to
completely shut down Evolution and start it again and hope that it works
this time. This is in Contact Cards view. Switching to list view I can
see all my contacts.

[Bug 884730] [NEW] I changed gmail password, Online accounts can't cope with that

2011-11-01 Thread Oscar Tiderman
Public bug reported:

After changing password for my gmail account, Online Accounts prompted
me with a note: One of your online accounts needs attention and I
could click a button (sorry, don't remember what it said), nothing
happened when clicking this button. I then opened the Online Account
settings to try and change the password, there were no obvious way to do
that. There was a button that said Login, but this button didn't do
anything. So I figured the only way was to delete the account and set up
a new one. After selecting my account and pressing the - symbol I
tried to add a new account, just to be faced with:

Error creating account
Error getting a Request Token: Bad Request

This is the only thing that pops up, I have not gotten a chance to enter
my credentials, the above is all I get when pressing the + symbol.

Public bug reported:

[Bug 800129] Re: Evolution timeout when trying to copy contacts

2011-06-21 Thread Oscar Tiderman
In addition, when I, after trying to copy the contacts, try to access my Google
contacts there are no contacts showing and I get two more error messages:
This address book cannot be opened. This either means that an incorrect URI
was entered, or the server is unreachable.

Detailed error message: Timeout was reached

And:

This address book cannot be opened. Please check that the path
/home/oscar/.local/share/evolution/addressbook/system exists and that
permissions are set to access it.

Detailed error message: Timeout was reached

I have verified the path and it's there and it's writable. After a
reboot the contacts start showing again.
