[Bug 296867] Re: empathy needs to support OTR encryption

2013-04-04 Thread Pablo Castellano
No deadline extension is possible, they have received a lot of
proposals.

They told me that there will be another funding round this year.

[Bug 296867] Re: empathy needs to support OTR encryption

2013-04-01 Thread Pablo Castellano
My idea comes one day late as the deadline was yesterday :(

OpenITP is looking for projects to fund. Eligible projects must work on
improving users' ability to circumvent censorship and surveillance on
the Internet. So OTR support for Empathy fits perfectly!

http://openitp.org/?q=openitp_first_round_of_2013_project_funding_now_open_for_proposals

What do you think? Should we keep one eye on this kind of fundings and get
someone paid to do it?
I have no idea about who would be willing to do it but I'm sure you guys can
find one person in the community.

If so, how can I reproduce it in order to fix it?

[Bug 350772] Re: playing MMS / .ASX with totem needs manual install of codec package

2010-05-04 Thread Pablo Castellano
I may be wrong but maybe this is the problem.

the gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly package contains info saying what
decoders/encoders it provides but it doesn't mention mms:

Gstreamer-Decoders: application/vnd.rn-realmedia; application/x-pn-realaudio;
application/x-rdt, media=(string)application, encoding-name=(string)X-REAL-RDT;
application/x-rtp, media=(string){ application, video, audio },
encoding-name=(string)X-ASF-PF; audio/AMR; audio/AMR-WB; audio/ac3; audio/mpeg,
mpegversion=(int)1, layer=(int)[ 1, 3 ]; audio/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)1,
parsed=(boolean)false; audio/x-ac3; audio/x-lpcm; audio/x-private1-ac3;
audio/x-private1-lpcm; audio/x-sid; video/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)[ 1, 2 ],
systemstream=(boolean)false; video/mpeg, mpegversion=(int){ 1, 2 },
systemstream=(boolean)true; video/x-ms-asf
Gstreamer-Elements: a52dec, ac3iec958, amrnbdec, amrnbenc, amrwbdec, asfdemux,
cdiocddasrc, dvddemux, dvdlpcmdec, dvdreadsrc, dvdsubdec, dvdsubparse, mad,
mp3parse, mpeg2dec, mpegdemux, mpegparse, pnmsrc, rademux, rdtdepay,
rdtmanager, rmdemux, rtpasfdepay, rtspreal, rtspwms, siddec, twolame, xingmux
Gstreamer-Encoders: audio/AMR; audio/mpeg, mpegversion=(int)1, layer=(int)2;
audio/x-iec958; audio/x-raw-int, endianness=(int)4321, signed=(boolean)true
Gstreamer-Uri-Sources: cdda, dvd, pnm
Gstreamer-Version: 0.10

Can someone from the QA team have a look at it?

[Bug 320297] Re: lkhqwfklj

2009-01-22 Thread Pablo Castellano
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description
didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How
to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Bug 148084] Re: totem-like/firefox-like plugin installer for file-roller

2008-10-10 Thread Pablo Castellano
I have adapted the patch of Sergey to the latest intrepid version of
file-roller (2.24.0-0ubuntu1) :).
This is my first patch (well and it's not mine...), so someone with experience
should revise it.
The only thing that is missing in this patch2.0 is the part of the translation
to russian. I have not added it because gedit doesn't display the characters :?
By the moment, it works.

Nothing else, I'm sending it to upstream too.

[Bug 41985] Re: Openoffice won't open files using sftp:// in read-only mode

2008-09-30 Thread Pablo Castellano
I can also confirm this behaviour in Intrepid 8.10 fully updated.

From upstream:
--- Additional comments from tkr Fri Jun 6 12:53:50 + 2008 ---
For now I will set the issue to OOo 3.1.

2008-09-29 Thread Pablo Castellano
I can confirm it under Intrepid fully updated.

Then everytime that I run gedit from terminal, it consumed 100% of cpu
until I have opened an old txt file that I had in my desktop. I can
still reproduce this behaviour

2008-09-27 Thread Pablo Castellano
Hi all.

In my case I have arrived to this report searching in google the error
strings that had appeared to me in dmesg:

[360663.776727] [fglrx:fireglAsyncioIntEnableMsgHandler] *ERROR* IRQMGR
returned error 1 when trying to enable interrupt source 1000

I got them trying to switch user and logging in again.
And everything continues working fine apparently.
