change the button layout will take you less than 15 seconds.

[Bug 532633] Re: [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment

2010-03-23 Thread Pako
Well, I think the position of the buttons should be defined by Mr. Mark,
after all he is responsible for the development and progress of Ubuntu
and he invests in it. Democracy? It is like hiring a Yokel cave man in
Mr. Pininfarina team to advice him about a new look for the next model
of Ferrari. There are things that can't be done a democratic way!

[Bug 532633] Re: [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment

2010-03-22 Thread Pako
Well, here is the second reason why LEFT buttons are better, ESPECIALLY
FOR RIGHT HANDERS. If you lay your hands on the keyboard you''ll notice
that the right hand is always pointed to the left corner of the monitor,
it's a natural placement of hands and wrist, that's why moving cursor to
the left side of the monitor is always easier, especially for right
handers who prefer to use touch-pad instead of mouse. It's a law, it's a
pure physics. Do you remember the Ergonomic Keyboards? Did you ask
yourself why the buttons are curved?

[Bug 532633] Re: [Master] Window Control buttons: position/order/alignment

2010-03-22 Thread Pako
If the left buttons would be a standard for all operating systems
(although standard in MAC) shift from left to right will also bother
you, I think it's more about habits than functionality. I think 99% of
you already know how to set your desktop by your measure, It is your
opportunity to do that in Linux, which is not the case with other
operating systems, so keep respect for the developers.

[Bug 532633] Re: [light-theme] please revert the order of the window controls back to menu:minimize, maximize, close

2010-03-21 Thread Pako
Putting the buttons on the left side is very functional. Make a test and
you'll notice that whenever you open the window, the pointer is always
closer to the left than the right side of the window, meaning less
pointer movements over the desktop.

[Bug 436489] [NEW] new backgrounds for karmic arrive

2009-09-25 Thread Pako
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Today I get the latest updates for karmic with brand new backgrounds. Here is
my experience:
If I choose a background by myself is it like I'm not in Ubuntu, its looses the
spirit of distro. This orange, the default one whatever it is, is ugliest
something I ever seen, its look like an apricot shoot with macro lens or like
sun baked ass!

[Bug 416368] [NEW] Horizontal lines during playback

2009-08-20 Thread Pako
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: totem

I get horizontal lines during playback movies in totem, with and without
compiz . It's not about interlaced video, but lines caused by frequency.
I try with 'sync to v-blank', set frequency to 60Hz in compiz and
playback is little bit better, but lines are still there and with sync
to v-blank enabled I get performance regression in compiz. I'm not sure
this is a totem issue or video driver bug, but is very annoying.

2009-07-30 Thread Pako
The last surprise either was disabling Ctrl+Alt+Backspace feature, now
this. Does it comes to the security problem? I don't think so.

[Bug 405787] [NEW] flickering frames in metacity when compiz is enabled

2009-07-28 Thread Pako
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: metacity

When compiz is enabled and when rotating the cube, panels and windows
edge-frames begin to flicker and it happens when GTK window decorator is
enabled, there is no flickering when emerald decorator is enabled. So,
I'm not sure this is a metacity bug, but it's a very annoying and ugly
failure.
