After checking deeper into it, it's more complex than I tought. There is no alarm notification either from dbus or the evolution api. An idea for this would be to modify evolution-indicator to make it add a nodification for alarms and not just emails. Public bug reported: I was experiencing freeze since the last gnome-session upgrade: 3.6.2-0ubuntu3 I realise it was because I had removed update-notifier (since I'm doing my update/upgrade from the command line) Maybe we could add update-notifier as a gnome-session dependency.
