[Bug 787316] Re: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
I get this: The program 'gnome-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 182094 error_code 8 request_code 15 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) Not sure if it's the same bug or not. This is still an issue in Ubuntu 11.04 amd64 (fully updated) but the request_code is different so I'm not sure if it's the same bug. The program 'totem' received an X Window System error. I had this today on Ubuntu 9.10, but not after hibernating, sleeping or anything. The PC is a Dell T3400, quite the opposite of a netbook. Anyway, this bug doesn't seem to meet the SRU criteria so those who are annoyed by this may want to upgrade to 10.04 (which is just around the corner). @jesseay: Don't use sudo for configure and make, and you'll probably find your gpm in /usr/local so it's likely that you aren't running it. [Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
I had this problem a few weeks ago, removed the ev-summary file and thought it was done with, but it just came back. Removing only the inbox ev-summary file didn't help either. I had to remove all ev-summary files. Yes, I disabled the email accounts and I put it in offline mode. I have 2 accounts. One local account that's set up to check in /var/spool/mail/ubuntu and sends with sendmail (actually postfix ofcourse), and the other account only sends email, through the GMail SMTP. [Bug 27014] Re: evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync
It seems persistant now. After opening Evolution for the second time, it came back again, as soon as I switched it to online mode. The difference is that I had new email (the above comment). I've also noticed emails are duplicated each time the error appears (like the inital reporter). When I had this a few weeks ago, I had a couple of thousand new emails, because automatic background checking was enabled and I just shrugged and dismissed the error, left it alone for a while, not realising how quickly new emails piled up. After clicking away error after error I googled for a solution. Fortunately, this time there are only about 350 new emails. But I'm now a bit afraid of using Evolution, even though it has grown on me and I kinda depend on it now. -- evolution bug, Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync https://launchpad.net/bugs/27014 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
