[Bug 878198] Re: Difficult to grab window borders in unity-2d
it's not only unity 2d, that suffers from this, I use the normal 3d environment and resizeing windows with a touchpad on my 18.4 inch screen is VERY irritating -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/878198 Title: Difficult to grab window borders in unity-2d To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/metacity/+bug/878198/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 793284] [NEW] Window corner fake transparency problem
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: metacity Window corners are round, so there is a little bit of transparency in the corner. To establish this transparency effect, metacity shows the wallpaper underneath the 'transparent' part of the corner in the transparent part of the corner. But the gnome panel (when on top) drops a shadow on top of the wallpaper and because there is no real transparency this shadow isn't shown in the window corner. As a result you can clearly see the contrast between the window corner and the wallpaper. I included a screenshot. metacity 2.30.3 Fully updated Ubuntu 11.04, running in Ubuntu Classic mode (simply without unity) ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/793284 Title: Window corner fake transparency problem -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
