I just tried suspending and hibernating three times, and each time i
had gnome system log open, and it did not crash or anything like that,
so i guess this issue is now invalid

[Bug 344288] [NEW] [jaunty] battery icon does not show correct level relative to the battery charge

2009-03-17 Thread Polygon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

The battery icon does not show the correct level relative to the battery
charge. Example, my battery was almost dead, so it showed a battery icon
with only a sliver of red left, i plugged my AC adapter in, and it
started charging. Even when it got to 27%, where it should of moved out
of the 'red' range and into the orange at least, it was still stuck on
red.

It does this for all levels, i plugged in my AC adapter when it was at
50%, and it stayed half full even when my battery was completely
charged.

Attached screenshot shows an example:

[Bug 239096] Re: Touchpad settings do not save in mouse control panel

I have some new information, it seems that on boot, the touchpad
settings are applied correctly, but then it seems that the kernel loses
connection to the touchpad and reconnects, but once it does this, then
the touchpad settings are lost

here is a kern.log file showing some interestering lines on whats
happening when the touchpad screws up:

Im on a laptop, a Presario F700, and i set in the mouse control panel
settings to disallow using the touchpad as a button by double tapping
it, and although its marked in the control panel, i can still do it.

And i also have vertical scrolling enabled for the touchpad, and it is
disabled despite the check box being checked.

[Bug 230088] [NEW] Volume Applet still alternates volume % and mute while sliding/changing volume

2008-05-13 Thread Polygon
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-applets

I know this is already reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/126333

but that says a fix has already been released but i am running a fully
updated hardy installation and i still get the problem.

I click on the volume applet and i use the scroll wheel to change it, it
goes from like 64% to like 12% and then i keep scrolling up and down and
it jumps around randomly, same thing if i try to click it and slide it
that way. I also notice the left channel of my sound goes out randomly
when im sliding the volume as well

I dunno what i need to attach to help fix this problem, so if you need
anything just ask and i will post it.

[Bug 36302] Re: Volume keyboard shortcut fails to increase volume

Confirmed fixed for Gutsy (tribe 5)

to choose which volume channel the volume multimedia buttons change, you
have to go to system prefs sound, and at the bottom of the first tab
there is a box called 'default mixer tracks', choose the channel that
you want to control with the multimedia buttons. and then it works :D

this does not work for me.

i am using fiesty, which uses control-center 1.2.18.1-0ubuntu2 and this
still does not work

the up/down volume buttons on my keyboard control the IEC958 Center/LFE

there is no option in the volume control applet or anywhere to change
which channel the keyboard volume buttons control.
