[Bug 40500] Re: Gstreamer error:failed to change state

2006-04-26 Thread PsychoTrauma
Just in case you still need the info I do my cd ripping under windows with EAC.
I then encode the wav files into wavpack using foobar2000. I then tag the files
with mp3tag.

I am glad you and the devs upstream have pinpointed the problem.

[Bug 40500] Gstreamer error:failed to change state

2006-04-26 Thread PsychoTrauma
Public bug reported:

Affects: gstreamer (upstream)
   Severity: Unknown
   Priority: Unknown
 Status: Unknown
Affects: gst-plugins-base0.10 (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Assignee: Sebastian Dröge
 Status: Confirmed

Description:
I am using a fresh install of the newest dapper beta with all the latest
updates. I installed gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad and mounted my ntfs drive
that stores my wavpack files.

When I try to load my wavpack files in rhythmbox I get Gstreamer
error:failed to change state.

I then opened up a console and launched rhythmbox from there and opened
a wavpack file and got (rhythmbox:6170): GStreamer-CRITICAL **:
gst_pad_activate_pull: assertion `old == GST_ACTIVATE_NONE' failed.

I am using the -h and -m strings in the latest version of wavpack when i
encode my files.

I have encluded one of the wavpack files for testing as well. (I tested
this file multiple times with both rhythmbox and amarok).
