[Bug 449198] Re: gdmsetup doesn't allow to change login screen theme in 9.10 (karmic)
I have 3 suggestions for implementing this: 1) In gnome-appearance-properties: [x] Aply this theme to the login screen (displayed/enabled only if the user has admin rights) 2) In gdmsetup: [x] Apply the following theme to the login screen: [Current | v ] [x] Use the following custom background: [/path/to/image [ Choose... ]] 3) In gdmsetup or as a separate entry in System Administration: [Change look of login screen] -- that button would run $gksu -u gdm dbus-launch gnome-appearance-properties, and add something like a notice or window title to differentiate the dialog from System Preferences Appearance) -- gdmsetup doesn't allow to change login screen theme in 9.10 (karmic) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449198 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 180541] Re: [Gutsy] Totem crashes on visual effects
The problem seems related to the video component: if compiz is enabled, then totem's video, or music with video effects doesn't work. -- [Gutsy] Totem crashes on visual effects https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180541 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 180541] [Gutsy] Totem crashes on visual effects
Public bug reported: After installing Totem GStreamer codecs then Totem does not work anymore if compiz-fusion is enabled with customized option of Appearance menu. When I check at least Normal, then it works fine. In fact, now my videocard is a kind of blacklisted so that I made compiz ignore check to enable visual effects. # This is my onboard videocard (lspci): 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82946GZ/GL Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02) # This is totem's error: The program 'totem' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 48 error_code 11 request_code 140 minor_code 19) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Gutsy] Totem crashes on visual effects https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180541 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 180545] Ubuntu crashes on startup and logout
Public bug reported: Sometimes when loading Ubuntu (Edgy, Feisty and now Gutsy), right after the progress bar screen it freezes. Everything keeps dark and keyboard does not respond. And sometimes on Gutsy (and Edgy) when we logout everything just disappear, screen keeps dark and keyboard doesn't work anymore. It's necessary to hardly reboot the computer in both cases and all reffered versions are 32-bit. My computer is a Core 2 Duo (64-bit), Intel's DG 946GZis motherboard, SATA 2 HD. ** Affects: meta-gnome2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu crashes on startup and logout https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180545 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for meta-gnome2 in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
