[Bug 569285] [NEW] [person] has joined the room when one joins an IRC channel
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy Empathy sometimes shows a [person] has joined the room line for every person in the channel when the user joins an IRC channel. [Bug 569286] [NEW] No way to apply theme changes to existing windows
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy Changing the theme in Empathy preferences does not apply the new theme to existing windows. As far as I can see, there's no way to do so. While this isn't a huge problem in user-to-user windows (one can always just close and re-open the window), it's a pain for group chats, where closing the window leaves the chat room. Empathy should either 1) apply changes to the theme setting to existing windows, or 2) offer a per- window menu item to change the theme. This problem also seems to apply to the setting for showing/hiding the nick list in group chats. [Bug 569289] [NEW] freenode is not the default IRC server
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy freenode is not the default IRC server in Empathy. Through past tireless bug reporting on the part of others, freenode is the default IRC server in most (all?) other IRC clients shipped with Ubuntu, to aid new users in getting IRC support. [Bug 532387] [NEW] There was an error while parsing the account details. when adding new account in wizard
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy I started empathy for the first time (that I can remember) on this (lucid) computer. I selected add an existing account, then selected Google Talk, then entered my Google ID and password. I selected that I did had additional accounts to set up, then got the following error (after several seconds of the window being blank): --- There was an error while parsing the account details. The error message was: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. You can either go back and try to enter your accounts' details again or quit this assistant and add accounts later from the Edit menu. --- I then pressed the Back button, entered my account details again, selected that I didn't have additional accounts, and pressed Next. On the next screen, I said that I didn't want to enable the local chat feature, and pressed Apply. Clicking the Apply button didn't do anything. After a few seconds, the window changed to the same error as above. I then clicked Close. I experience the same problem as jtlb. If I instead type something into the box (which is blank when I open the window), the button does not activate. Once I choose a previous pattern, the windows work fine in the current document until I close it. Specific steps to reproduce: 1) Open a new gedit window 2) Type or copy-paste some text into the window 3) Click Search Find or Ctrl-F 4) Type in a search term in the Search for: box 5) Notice that the Find button is inactive Expected result: The Find button should activate when a search term is entered into the Search for: box. -- search button not available https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/337432 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

@Matthias Klose, This is not a mirror issue; I got the packages directly from launchpad librarian. As I've already said, amd64 has not been transitioned correctly. The amd64 python-launchpad-integration .deb created from the build you linked has the following Depends: libc6 (= 2.2.5), libglib2.0-0 (= 2.12.0), liblaunchpad-integration1 (= 0.1.17), python ( 2.6), python (= 2.5), python-central (= 0.6.11) It only includes /usr/lib/python2.5 stuff, not python2.6 stuff. The i386 p-l-i .deb created by https://edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/launchpad-integration/0.1.22/+build/878959 has the following Depends: Depends: libc6 (= 2.1.3), libglib2.0-0 (= 2.12.0), liblaunchpad-integration1 (= 0.1.17), python ( 2.7), python (= 2.5), python-central (= 0.6.11) It includes both /usr/lib/python2.5 and /usr/lib/python2.6 stuff. -- Intrepid - Jaunty Alpha5 : can not mark 'ubuntu-desktp' for upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335623 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to launchpad-integration in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

@DLCBurggraaff Looks like it was mentioned on ubuntu-devel-announce at https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel- announce/2009-February/000541.html . I missed that message due to some recent problems with my mail client. I guess this is an object lesson about checking the lists before reporting bugs ;) Anyway. It looks like python-launchpad-integration for i386 has been transitioned correctly, as it requires python 2.7 and correctly uses /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/. python-launchpad-integration for amd64 hasn't been transitioned yet, though, hence the problems we're seeing. python-launchpad-integration isn't in the ~pythoneers PPA, so adding the line from the mailing list won't expedite anything. -- Intrepid - Jaunty Alpha5 : can not mark 'ubuntu-desktp' for upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335623 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to launchpad-integration in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
