[Bug 1647020] [NEW] Brightness resets to full when on/off battery
Public bug reported: In yakkety, when my ThinkPad X250 goes on or off battery, the screen is reset to full brightness. Xenial and before did not have this problem. [Bug 1287793] [NEW] Lock screen day/time display does not honor locale
Public bug reported: The new display of the day and time on the lock screen in trusty is nice, but it shows e.g. Tue 16:26 (note 24-hour clock). This format should honor the user's locale, i.e. my time applet displays Tue Mar 4 4:26 PM. [Bug 1238457] [NEW] yelp INFO:foo produces forkbomb
Public bug reported: Running yelp INFO:foo (or INFO:anything) opens a blank help window which seemingly cannot be closed, moved, minimized, etc. No other input is possible. Switching to the console reveals two yelp processes, one which remains, and which constantly launches children in series, all of which immediately die. killall yelp from the console allows me to get access to the desktop again. [Bug 445158] [NEW] Backlight reduced 1 hour after on battery power
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager (karmic beta) I have reduce backlight brightness checked and dim display when idle unchecked On Battery Power. When I unplug the laptop (ThinkPad X61, GM965 chipset), it does not reduce brightness. However, if I leave it on battery power, it will reduce the brightness almost exactly 1 hour after it was unplugged. This can be reproduced reliably on my laptop, and idleness doesn't seem to be a factor (it happened when I was in the middle of typing this last time). The brightness will increase to normal immediately upon plugging back in.
