For me at least, this problem stopped after I switched to Firefox (Minefield) 4.0 and Ubuntu 10.10 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428703 Title: Firefox search bar bug -Auto highlight -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 428703] Re: Firefox search bar bug -Auto highlight
Just so you know, I've had this bug since I installed Ubuntu 6 months ago, on every version of Firefox and every fresh install of Ubuntu I've done on every system. If you quickly type gibberish in the address bar, once you reach a certain length, it will stop highlighting, allowing you to type what you want and then delete the initial characters. It's a pain but hopefully the bug will be fixed soon and at least for me, after a few minutes the issue goes away. ** Tags added: x86 -- Firefox search bar bug -Auto highlight https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428703 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
