[Bug 252098] Re: Removed CD does not disappear from desktop

2008-07-27 Thread Ryiden
The problem is, I can not reproduce it, it was a unique phenomenon.
I removed a CD from the drive by pressing on the drives open button, the CD
came out, but the icon did not disappear. Normally, the icon disappears
automatically.

I am using Ubuntu 8.04.1

[Bug 236507] Re: Extreme lags in Hardy Heron

2008-07-27 Thread Ryiden
It is complete, because we figured out that the Dim screen when
inactive function is doing something nasty with the system performance.
I am using a german Desktop environment so the upper function is a free
translation from the german language.

[Bug 184833] Re: gnome-background-properties freezes when removing the current background from the file system

2008-01-23 Thread Ryiden
Maybe this could be helpful. I used this background on my notebook and
on my desktop computer for a long time. The wallpaper was located in
/usr/share/backgrounds/ and it has been added as background by using the
add button which opens the file chooser dialog to select a background.

One day I removed the background with 'sudo rm
/usr/share/backgrounds/stormgreen.png', but the stormgreen background
was still the current background of the gnome desktop. Then I opend the
dialog to select another background, I clicked on the add button, a file
chooser dialog opens, I closed the file chooser dialog, I closed the
background selection window, I reopened the background selection window
and it was frozen.

Maybe the Problem depends on the German (Deutsch) localization. I hope
this helps a little bit more. I have crashed the dialog of my notebook
and the dialog of my desktop computer with this method.

[Bug 108537] the extract archive applet in nautilus is not working correct

2007-04-21 Thread Ryiden
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

When a tar.bz archive has a space character in the archive name, the
archive will be allways extracted to a folder with the name
*.tar.bz2_FILES.

For example:
We have an archive named archive.tar.bz2 which contains a file named
help.txt.
If you extract the archive by clicking on extract here in nautilus, you will
have the file help.txt in the current folder of the file system.
Now we rename the archive to my archive.tar.bz2, then our file will be
extracted into a sub folder named my archive.tar.bz2_FILE.
