[Bug 435367] Re: gnome-terminal assert failure: Vte:ERROR:/build/buildd/vte-0.22.0/./src/vtestream-file.h:30:_xread: assertion failed: (fd || !len)
Affects me whenever there's more than about half (?) a screenfull of text in scrollback. It gets triggered if I do either Terminal - Reset and Clear or run: printf '\ec' as mentioned above. I have just removed an alias to the above because I've killed too many sessions. -- gnome-terminal assert failure: Vte:ERROR:/build/buildd/vte-0.22.0/./src/vtestream-file.h:30:_xread: assertion failed: (fd || !len) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/435367 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 408831] [NEW] killing windows in metacity
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: metacity For windows that won't let themselves be officially closed it would be nice to be able to kill them (ala other window managers). The motivating case for me is in firefox I went to Tools = Addons = Get Ubuntu Extensions and this brought up another window (titled gnone-app-install) that has been sitting around for ages not doing anything. Admittedly this is a bug in this program, but programs will always have bugs and there should be a way to work around this (short of doing a kill from the command line, which I know is not what a kill window would do). I'm using 1:2.27.0-0ubuntu2 if it makes any difference! Yes, but only if the close box is enabled! The program where I noticed this had a modal dialog up and the main form's close button didn't seem to do anything. -- killing windows in metacity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408831 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 336488] [NEW] better keyboard support in gnome-display-properties
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-control-center I'd expect the escape key to perform the same function as pressing the Restore the previous configuration button. It currently appears to have the same effect as pressing the Keep this configuration button. This seems a little counter intuitive, especially if you can't see the display to know that it's going to revert in n seconds. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit Enable autocheck spelling mode and type etc. it will underline the etc and give a suggestion for etc., selecting this you end up with etc.. which isn't quite what I want. [Bug 333656] [NEW] ligatures (i.e. fi, fl) not handled very nicely by spell checker
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gedit Spell checking on a UTF8 document with ligatures in (i.e. fi, fl as a single character as in files, defining, flow) aren't handled very nicely.
