On intrepid, Gnome no longer offers the option that a non-superuser can shut down, only log out. For the superuser, 'shut down' just logs you out, and takes you back to gdm, when others are logged in. (Perhaps there should be an explanation here). Presumably one can then force shutdown from gdm. Looks like hibernate and suspend also don't work for non-super-users. I don't see why this would need to be done in nautilus, per se. Why not let me open the file as read only, then when it asks me if i want to save (in gedit, vim, etc), say to save this file, you need root privileges or something, and give the standard password prompt (with grey screen) that the update manager, etc does? We (who are not archive admins) can't actually push the bugs any further than this - we have to wait for soyuz, etc, to sort itself out. So for all intents and purposes, i'd say that this should be marked Fix Released, yes. Also, the bug closing by changelog comes in somewhere - i think when the package itself is accepted - where it is automatically marked as fix released.
