[Bug 1563218] [NEW] Rhythmbox doesn't offer a menu anymore

2016-03-29 Thread Sascha Biermanns
Public bug reported:

Within the last two weeks, rhythmbox lost it's menu, so it's not
possible to access the plugins, settings or anything else, except you
know what the menu point was called - and press ALT, using the HUD to
access the settings or whatever.

Using the system menu to change, where the menu should be (window or top
panel) has no effect.

2012-04-13 Thread Sascha Biermanns
This bug is now new on every login to Unity since yesterday evening in
12.04 LTS Beta 2 nightly build - and I even don't open nautilus on
startup, so I can't tell you, what triggers this bug :\

Just happened to me on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 2 (nightly build), nautilus
3.4.0-0ubuntu2. It happened on a login to unity - I actually even didn't
opened nautilus - but got the crash detection and raise of this bug
report.

[Bug 746603] Re: empathy crashed with SIGABRT in raise()

2012-03-29 Thread Sascha Biermanns
1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - just after a fresh installation and with all the
newest updates

2) empathy: Installiert: 3.3.92-0ubuntu3
unity-2d: Installiert: 5.8.0-0ubuntu1

3) You just start a new Unity 2D session.

4) Within two minutes after the start, you have this bugreport coming
up.

How to get this bug
Before this bug is triggered, you have first to logout from a Unity 2D session
- and then start a new one from LightDM. Now within 2 minutes, you normally
should get this bug and send here.
Condition: In the old session, you had empathy running, while in the new
session you yet didn't start it. Sounds weird but is a fact.
The bug does not occure, if the Unity 2D session is the first one after a cold
start of the computer.

[Bug 16492] Re: Mouse pointer should disappear when keyboard is in use and mouse isn't

2012-03-27 Thread Sascha Biermanns
Solution:

The feature of the hiding cursor could is there, you only have to
install the software unclutter and start it with every start of you're
Unity via startprograms.

Installation: sudo apt-get install unclutter

I added a video to my comment, showing that unclutter hides the mouse
cursor, the moment the first key is pressed. It works with any DE or WM
using X.

** Attachment added: Video showing, how to fix the mouse behaviour, so that
unclutter hides it the moment, the first key is pressed

[Bug 838812] Re: rhythmbox-metadata crashed with SIGSEGV in g_type_check_value()

2012-03-26 Thread Sascha Biermanns
1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 1 (nightly build)

2) rhythmbox: Installiert: 2.96-0ubuntu3

3) I marked 10 mp3 files in a nautilus folder and let it rhythmbox play
with the rightclick menu.

4) After starting rhythmbox, it went on importing my music directory,
while also starting to play the selected music files. I clicked on the
queue to see the files - and that resulted in a crash, showing up this
bug report. I hope, the description helps.

[Bug 870767] Re: rhythmbox-metadata crashed with SIGSEGV in gst_structure_copy()

2012-03-25 Thread Sascha Biermanns
1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 1 (nightly build)

2) rhythmbox: Installiert: 2.96-0ubuntu3

3) I rightclicked a 85 MB mp3 file in nautilus and selected play within
rhythmbox.

4) After rhythmbox was opened, the file wasn't neither shown nor played.
I closed rhythmbox, pressing the close button in the panel - and
rhythmbox crashed, bringing up this bugreport.

[Bug 949567] [NEW] Evince doesn't show up correctly in switcher, pressing ALT+TAB

2012-03-07 Thread Sascha Biermanns

2) evince: Installiert: 3.3.90-0ubuntu3
unity: Installiert: 5.4.0-0ubuntu2

3) When I open a pdf, cbr or any other readable file with evince, the
program starts and you can read the file. If you switch to firefox,
whatever and press ALT+TAB, evince should be shown in the switcher and
should be selectable.

4) Evince doesn't show up in the switcher. If you look at the launcher,
there is not a filled pyramid left of the symbol, only a

Work around
The bug can be solved, right clicking the evince symbol in the launcher and
checkboxing keep in launcher for evince. Now you can close and open evince,
and the pyrymid is appearing left in the launcher beside the evince symbol. If
you now press ALT+TAB, evince is in the switcher and selectable.
The other solution is, clicking on evince in the launcher, to show the running
evince again.

2012-03-03 Thread Sascha Biermanns
To me, this bug just occured, after I logged out from a session - and
then logged in to a new session. I didn't start empathy in the actual
session, but the crash reporter showed up, so I guess the crash occured
because of the old session. Maybe empathy wasn't able to close
completely before?
